Yes it can be seen as distasteful (if you're a girl) and while the female gaming community has grown it's still predominately a male focused environment and especially within this genre. But beyond that try to focus (haters) on the marketing genius, no not just that it's aim a horny boys looking for a cheap thrill, it's Soul Caliber V, the plunge in her cleavage is the V! GENIUS!!

I mean in all fairness this movie is gonna blow! But they only thing that would have saved it would have been to cast Fillion as Drake, he's the perfect fit, we all knew that. But he's not marketable enough so they went with Marky Mark... cos he has a great track record; Max Payne, The Happening... Planet if the Apes! Say hi to your Mother for me!

I was never a big PC gamer (Half Life(s) being the exception) so WoW never appealed to me. Plus for about 2 years I didn't have access to a decent PC. But one day I thought "F**k it, let me see what all the fuss is about!" Got the trial and I did get a little interested, mainly because of the idea of this being an open world populated (for the most part) by other people.
I even bought it after my trial was up, paid monthly and everything. I was in, I'd play that thing for hours at a time, fetching, carrying, looting, fetching, carrying, looting, fetching, carrying, looting, fetching, carrying and then to mix things up I did some looting. I join a Guild too!
Then after a while I sat back and I thought "Wow (no pun intended) I'm doing the exact same things in this game every time I play!" And for what? The promise of being able to use that armor/weapon/spell once you hit a certain level? Being able to ride around on a giant cat that makes you only slightly faster?
What Wow essentially does is dangle the carrot in front of the donkey to make him pull the cart. What does the donkey get? He almost gets a carrot!!
WoW is not for the casual gamer, it's for dedicated MMO gamers who have nothing better to do than pwn noobs! Set up looting parties and level up until their eyes pop out of theirs skulls and then keep playing!
I admit it was fun for a while but with no end in sight it felt a little bit like I was in limbo.
Blizzard struck with their Carrot Dangling MMO (also known a World of Warcraft) and fair play to them. They have sucked in millions with a simple formula that even with multiple updates since launch it still looks and plays the same was it did at launch!!

That woman is the epitome of how her type and generation view video games. They get fed their information from the mainstream media and gang up the poor fella who is the only one talking sense. Completely ignoring him when he mentions the blame lies on the parents and society, not the games. And she's the one getting all the applause cos the audience knows who she is cos they saw her in some old TV show in the 70's!

Can't see a demo doing it justice, especially if the shooting is a ropey as described here. Mtero 2033 has truly come out of left field and is looking really, really good!! I for one am surprised but pleasantly so. The world needs more games like this, by this I mean Half Life!

It's funny because it's true! There is potential there, a game that starts of as a Tramp sim, stumbling around, swearing, rummaging, peeing, being smelly then you are exposed to gamma rays or a radioactive special brew!! It would be like Condemned with super powers!! But you still need to do tramp stuff, cos that's awesome!

By a map dude The United Kingdom of Great Britain includes England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland!
Which is irrelevant anyways because Atlas did have a Northern Irish accent, it was plain old Irish, like sinnerboy said, closer to a Dublin accent. But I guess GR just wanted to find a way to include it...

Blast Corps all the way. It was so much fun and at the time there was nothing like it out there. Which was it's undoing and which is why not many people (microsoft) are giving it a second look. Respect to you guys for bringing it to everyones attention.
You what I'd like to see, a proper re-imagining of Turok, not the stinkers out recently. I mean 1 and 2! I'd give anything to fire the Cerebral Bore into the some bad guys head, listen to it drill in Dolby and watch in 1080p HD as his brain gets sucked out of his skull. Does that make me a bad person? Greatest weapon in gaming history in my opinion!!

Excellent article! It's amazing what can be gathered from such a short trailer, but you guys were on the ball from way back.

I hope this is as good as AA, and I hope the freakish fan boys don't do like the Left 4 Dead crowd did and cry about it being "too soon"! If they releases a sequel to to this tomorrow I'd snap it up!

This review is obviously based on the PC version which plays like a dream compared to the retarded step child that the 360 version is.
I purchased this based off of this review, saw it on the cheap at amazon and snapped it up! Better than KOTOR, you're 'avin' a laff!
I'm gonna give it more time and see if I can find the depth of which you speak. I'm sure it is in there beyond the awful graphics, wooden voice acting, clunky combat and static camera... I'm giving it one week...
