World War II is not an ideal answer but it's not TOO ridiculous. We were over saturated with WWII FPSes that featured at least one Normandy Invasion level and a run through a ruined European town that was either gray or had snow. The Saboteur was a fun attempt but drowned in clichés. Ironically as I write that I'm about to praise COD: World at War because I can't really ever remember playing a WWII game set in the Pacific Theatre that wasn't 1942 on the NES but also had its European town levels as the Soviet Army. You want to bring WWII games back? Give us a new or rarely seen (in games) aspect of the War (Afrika Korps? I dunno), and offer more than just Shooting Gallery from Point A to Point B.

Sony gave people free games for not being able to provide an online service. Microsoft has kept their heads in the dirt about their little Xbox Live FIFA account phishing thing going on.

Anti-game should be Homefront, where THQ with a straight faced asked people to play a four-hour generic FPS that does nothing different and pay $60 for it. Nice try. I paid $0. No I did not pirate it. That'd be a wasted effort. lol

It's hard for me to pick the "best" Mario game (except for Sunshine as clichéd as that sounds), but I've always loved Yoshi's Island's look and the sense of exploration. I just got done playing it on the 3DS. It's actually rather challenging too.

I'm working on Super Mario 3D Land at the moment too. You guys pretty much nailed the pros and cons with each game for me, although I can tell when you really had to struggle to come up with some reasons. lol
