I got this through the post today and so far I'm enjoying it. I loved the first one so much that I finished it on the PC, then when the 360 version appeared I played that through 100% as well :D
I like the strategy elements in it. Add's a whole lotta' depth, which is a nice change for sandbox games with territories.
I have to still try it online, but I don't have much hope for that part of the game :)
The Wheelman looks like crap. I've got a friend who is working on it at the moment and he said its like a poor mans Midtown Madness + all the crap parts about sandbox games.
Don't hold your breath for it lol
Also like joabbuac said, it wasn't that bad. Some of the missions like putting the horses head into the bed was pure vintage movie nostalgia. The game it's self wasn't the best sandbox game, but it certanly wasn't the worst.

This was the only thing in achievement history that actually got me mad that I was messing up so easily. But doing that particular achievement helped me with online play.
Now I can do the plane on vet EVERY time now. I've got it burned into my skull haha
All the points are great and like a few have said, stole mine! haha!
Anyway, some games are scary, but it is literally a case of the progress you have done just grows into anger for most people repeating the same bit.
I'm stunned NO ONE has mentioned the only game I have known in history that where you can make saved games, but also if you die, your save game gets deleted. For people who don't know, you ready?
STEEL BATTALLION!
This game was amazingly pricey with THE BIGGEST controller I have ever seen in my life and also had massive steel peddles. Playing this game with the sound up in front of a big TV is amazing! It was out of this world for what it was.
While it was short lived, the xbox live on it was great as well because you knew someone may be forgetting to press the fire extinuisher button while blasting away in a firefight.
But yeah, I have lost count with how many times I have reached the last mission and died, then having to start again. Now you might think you can just turn off the xbox as you die, but you still lose your save game because as soon as you die, it auto saves/deletes. The only way to save yourself is to press the eject button, but even then you only have 2, mabye 3 seconds to press it! Now that is true fear haha!
I admit games are a hell of a lot easier today. Loads of people are saying 'LUL, PLAY IT ON HARD/VERTAN/HEAVEN OR HELL' whatever you wanna' call hard mode. Well the truth is, NO ONE what-so-ever wants to play a game on the hardest difficulty. There are a few that will willingly play it on the hardest difficulty, I am one of those people.
To all people piss-moaning about this article, its true. You had to pickup health packs, save at the END OF THE LEVEL or not even save at all.
I've said it since day one, have levels fair enough, but take away the regen health and checkpoints and see how much people enjoy games then. They wont because they will have to THINK about what they have to do. I am still playing Ridge Racer 6 because that game has stuck to its roots in terms of difficulty. You can say lol n00b and all that, but if you have finished the game, link your gamertag here to prove it.
Also with the ninja gaiden thing, that again is a game that stuck to its roots. If you take out the games that are difficult like Ninja Gaiden, Ridge Racer and Devil May Cry for example all games are easy.
Call of Duty on vertran isn't. It just isn't just because I have seen it that if you die repeatedly, the game gives you a checkpoint like its feeling sorry for you!
Anyway, I found the funny side in the article. Keep it up GR!
This list could easily have been based purely on acts of animal cruelty, so I picked just the 'best' ones. And Overlord's kill 100 baby seals achievement trumped Fable II's rabbit shooting.
Until someone actually comes up with a 'nail-bomb a kitten orphanage' achievement, I think the baby seal massacre wins the most sick.
I almost put in the 'Kick the Chicken' Achievement from Fable II, but the Call of Juarez entry already had chickens covered. And blowing them up with dynamite just seems way harsher than giving them a kick. EGGSPLOSION!!!
I remember getting it Feb of 98 just after it got released in japan in christmas 97.
I was sooo friggin excited when I got it. Easily I have put in 1000+ hours into SoTN with all various saved games. I wish I kept them all :(
But I still go back to it at least twice a year. One for the PSX and the other Sega Saturn. BEST. GAME. EVER! hehe.
