i think you could have been a bigger review, but hay, who am i to judge? and i dont think you should compare it to SCII, totaly different games, completely different genre. if anything, you should have compared it to civ 4, or any other turn based game out there (are there any other good ones?).

privateers are kick ass in CIV, attacking anyone you want, and the beautiful parthian cataphrats in rome total war, armoured horse tanks, take out a whole legion of pussy romans/

hmmmm. this game seems to be based more on apocoplyse now then Heart of Darkness. the first captain goes missing, and your the second one going after kurtz, i mean Conrad. i hope there are some mental mind screws, like, the surfer dude, who drops acid at the bridge, that would be pretty cool if you dropped acid and the whole setting changed, changing your perspective on the world. or if there are other factions through out, much like the french plantation, which is in the extended movie. maybe a sanity meter would be cool, forcing you to deal with the different atrocities that are commited or the simple insanity that is the mission its self.

call of duty 1 has a lot of crap from the films, for example, pretty much the whole 101st airborne part is based on Band of Brothers, even the multiplayer map, the american spawn point, is a direct reference to the TV mini series, the chicken coup, and the name Carantan on the side of the building show reference to the series. Also the Beurcourt Mansion, where you have to take out the arty, is almost exactly like the part in the TV series. and the first marine part in COD 4, is a lot like the one from Black Hawk Down. Also World in Conflict, the whole game, is a lot like Red Dawn.
