If i had to go back to a game, it'd probably be fable 2. Despite completing EVERY mission, owning pretty much EVERY house, shop or castle in the game, i find it extremely fun pulling out my red dragon or daichi (yes when i first got this game i was overly obsessive about it) and pulling off nut shots or unfairly vicious attacks on guards and civilians. What was that article about video-game violence...?
when i played bioshock first time around, i ended up killing the little sisters. then, for some unknown reason, the game broke. a couple of days later and a replaced copy, i started a new game, and saved ALL the little sisters. not only do you feel better when you see all the little (non) sisters playing in Tebenaum's safehouse, but when the game finishes, you generally feel a lot better about yourself.
haha, evil dead...
i remember watching a music video sum1 made of ash simply goin 'o u bastard, o u little bastard, u diiirtty bastard!'
ha good times.
o yh, and good article
lol lol lol
and y do i have to write 'legally skivvy in a box below this?!
in dead rising, if you get the (sigh) 'true' ending, then it looks as though frank is canned food. BUT if you play the secondary mode you then unlock, it shows that Frank was in fact saved! but then, what do you get as the final ending? Frank slouching on a goddamn tank- i cant for the life of me understand why he doesn't even TRY driving it, bu hey, whatever. oh, and THEN it says that Frank managed to make it out alive somehow (?). Thanks for the details, Capcom!
i would have thought that after looking at the quick points, it should have gotten a seven, i played it and found it outrageously fun smashing people's faces in as Rorschach!
how about; "the XBOX 360 and PS3 are both delightfully fun to play on, and therefore should not be pitted against each other simply due to their inventors. each console is great in it's own right, and both should be praised as revolutionary items of modern civilization"
or you could just say; "they're both as good as each other"
oh, and by the way, it just occurred to me that seeing as how so many people find the true war image excruciatingly painful to look at, we are not entirely de-sanitized by video game violence.
hell, it took me ten whole minutes to raise enough courage to click on the link!
and now i'm paying the price
I'm only 13, and therefore i haven't played all of these games.i have, however, played enough of them to know what is tame, what is horrible, and what is downright disgusting.
call of duty 5, for example, is hugely violent, and very graphic in some cases, yet you don't hear any lawyers, or political parties, or even newspapers going on about it. they target games like grand theft auto. and they target these not because of the violence, but because of the freedom. you can do almost ANYTHING on that game, ranging from driving a car to dating a man via an internet dating site. violence is not usually the sort of stuff that gets people to shout out, not Dead Spaces dismemberment, or Fallout 3's blood splattering deaths.
the stuff that gets them worried, hell even scared, is the freedom we are given in today's games.
oh, and change your perks depending on your current weapons, you'll don't know how many times i didn't put on 'Bomb squad' and died due to a pesky claymore!
Good luck!
it seems everyone has different views on whether this guide is reliable or not. All I'll say is what games-radar said above "The bottom line is this⦠all the guns and equipment are in the game and are there to be used. So use them."
In my opinion, that is easily the best piece of advice here, among others. Vary your style and try to get used to all of them, that way, when picking up an enemies weapon you won't think "awwwww! why does it have to be a shotgun!" Instead you'll be thinking "This weapon shall go great with my ____ , i'll use it in tight buildings!"
There's you're advice from Conal, thankyou, much love.
i pre-ordered this game on Monday, and i still think this game will be absolutely awesome, even if the graphics aren't 'quite up to par'.
can't wait for this game to come om friday!
sub zero vs batman here i come!
i bought Mercs 2 about a month ago, and i have NOT been disappointed, i've completed it and all, and got the costumes etc. but i go on it simply to blow the sh!@ out of towns and people. i would easily give this game a ten, not a nine because of the dialogue, but for anyone looking for a fun, free-roaming, run 'n' gun shooter, this is for you.
this game looks the sh!@
the joker has two fatalities, one of which is up there in the video, the other i won't give away to ruin everyone's surprise, but I'll tell you, both are violent- mainly this one :( -and both are awesomely cool!
can't WAIT for this to come out!
I have to agree with oryandymackie, there are thousands of kids who go missing in the world, and this was case made a very over the top media frenzy.
But on the subject on whether or not this is a coincidence, it's a hard one to tell.
This is probably a stupid idea, but it might be a plead to the kidnapper, you just can't tell.
