| Also, according to Shepherd's proposed story, the Americans would have clearly started the war by shooting up the Russian airport for pretty much no reason. How does that inspire patriotism, if it was the US that started WW3? I think they should have gone with zombies after all. |

| @zigs Braid's beautiful, yeah, but not really that special in terms of animation. Same goes with Samurai Showdown - pretty much only good in stills. @unoriginal Yup, that's pretty much why. |

| I recently discovered a game called Hook Champ and have been playing nothing else for the last few weeks. Combines the one-button simplicity of Mr. Aaaaah! with really charming 8-bit sprites and a great sense of humor. The first third is a total cakewalk, but the last few levels are some of the hardest and most rewarding I've ever played. After a bazillion tries, I finally beat the final mission on the bus this morning, and almost jumped out of my seat cheering. | |

The 7 most beautifully animated 2D games
Yeah, but the difference between The Act and games like Dragon's Lair is that in The Act, the animation isn't strictly linear. you can adjust the animation in real-time, as opposed to triggering whole scenes with a single button press.
Apart from just the animation though, The Act is special because you have to watch for non-verbal, subtle cues in the characters' body language. It's not like the game screams at you: "PRESS X TO WOO SYLVIA!" You have to do it yourself.
@Styrophoamicus
Yup.
