Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest I think they were a little too clever on this one, because you know people wrote "Diddy Kong's Quest" half the time (if they could be bothered to write all that out).
Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. Bully is such a joy to play. I think it should still be at an academy though; I thought the high school setting was a nice contrast to games like GTA. Maybe for continuity they could have some of the younger characters from the first game appear as teenagers, and keep the same teachers. Also, I agree with whoever said the greasers should be replaced with goths. I think the preppies vs. greasers thing was a reference to The Outsiders, but it seems too weird to have greasers in a modern setting.
Oh geez, grow up you Puritans. All these games are just fantasies and nothing more. And your arguments in favor of first person shooters is laughable at best. Its the same argument used to justify war, "The bad guys are trying to kill us! We have no choice but to kill them all!" There's too sides to every conflict and just because you're on winning side doesn't make committing murder an honorable act. If you don't like the content of these game, then don't play them. You should though, Japanese rape games are true works of art. You may find them to be very arousing if you actually give them a shot. Oh and the author of this article should stop being so disingenuous and promoting the idea that a "magic bullet" actually killed Kennedy.
So sad but true about Rare. I used to be the biggest Rare fangirl back in the day, but they just don't have it anymore. Their Xbox 360 tenure has marked by games that are beautiful to look at but not that much fun to play. I think Nuts and Bolts was a huge mistake. The vehicle creation concept is actually an interesting idea (although the amount of trial and error needed got frustrating), but they never should have shoehorned Banjo-Kazooie in. The whole point of Banjo-Kazooie was that a bear and bird together could do things that each couldn't do on their own. By putting the B-K characters in Nuts and Bolts, they made them generic. They either should have made new characters or made a B-K game that worked with the existing characters. I actually liked the generally reviled Grabbed by the Ghoulies (even though Connor moved soooo sloooow that I wanted to punch him), but that was the last decent console game they made.
I love the fat PS3's buttons. When I first used them, it was like "The future is now!" I never saw the slim's ones before now, but they look like a whole bunch of suck compared to the fat's ones.
Also, maybe not quite on par with these, but I thought the other kind of SNES's button was interesting (the gray piece that you had to push way down into the console itself). I haven't seen anything else quite like it.
I'm sick of Warrior Within always getting hated on, especially on this site. Not only was it the best Prince of Persia game in general, the Prince was not that bad. Okay, the opening scene on the ship was a little over the top, but after that it calms down. His attitude was like that for a reason, because he eventually realizes the error of his ways. Also, it sets up the two personalities in Two Thrones. So the "they made him all dark to sell more games" claim is crap. He was like that for a reason.
When defending the Burger Town, I noticed one of the friendlies was "Private Bowling" which is most likely a reference to the aforementioned "Robert Bowling", the Community Manager.
I'd bet a lot of the other friendlies are named after the developers.
