The Top 7 Gaming Sweet Spots
Gamesradar simply does what a lot of sites do these days. Their page hit counters go up one every time we click on one of those links. The more links we have to click the more popular the site appears to be. Irritating, but common.

At least it is a lot less irritating here because they actually make seven clear points and the transitions keep each one seperate. they just got greedy adding an intro to some articles. :)

Wow, House of the Dead was terrible. But... that was possibly the coolest presentation of a shotgun kill I have ever seen.

The Top 7... Secret shame games
So wait... Stretch Panic, the terrible terrible terrible game that you are making fun of in this article, is listed as one of the games that we should play before we die on the 59 levels that everyone should play article. eff that. I am not going to intentionally find and play a game that you said is terrible, despite you then immediately saying that I should play it at some point.

Bad GR, do not mess with us like that. (And yes I know the 59 levels article admitted this was a bad game and you should only play it to experience the quirkiness, but still, why should we play it if you say it is so shameful the developer would rather it had never happened?)

Nintendo DS (DS): The Top 7... E3 games we don't want to see
First. Someone has to fail, not all the games can sell millions of copies. My guess is that most of these games will get to be the utter failures that make us love the successes that much more.

Rock Band (PS3): Rock Band vs. Guitar Hero III
Two problems. Guitar Hero III released first, so neversoft technically cannot be one upping anyone. They were out first, the only ones who can be one upping anyone are the Rock Band devs. Second, listen to the song (Reptilia). The notes are there, rock band just decides not to make you play them. It does not even look like expert on the rock band side of the screen. Guitar Hero III was truer to the songs notes in almost every case than Rock Band. Not taking into account the vocals, Bass, and Drums, guitar hero wins that round hands down.

Wow. I cannot even correct myself correctly. I apologize to everyone for the misspelling of actual. Again, a typo and not a misspelling.

As always, awesome article.

Problem: Some (many?) of yor readers are, in fact, fratboy douchebags. I am personally a member of a fraternity and I enjoy playing videogames and reading your articles. I know the stereotype that you are talking about, and have met many of them, but I do not think that the majority are like that. Do not get me wrong, I am not going to stop reading your site because I am offended. It is just slightly irritating that we all get cast in that light.

Like I said, great article, that was just annoying. Keep up that good work, and if possible, lay off the fratboy stereotype if you can.

Thanks,

Brad

The Top 7 hated habits of the mainstream media
Just sent this to the news station that ran the "Islam is the Light article":

To Whom it May Concern -

Your recent story on the "racist baby doll/video game for DS" brought some attention to your station. As good as this may seem for you - news is a business focused on drawing attention, after all - most of that attention was negative. The general populace may be willing to accept your stories as fact - even when the facts are stretched beyond their breaking point - but gamers tend to be somewhat more sophisticated. We do not like random people who have no idea what they are talking about bashing our favorite pastime. We especially do not like it when it is a bleach blonde reporter who gets paid to use her sex appeal on dumb male audiences. Your recent piece on the Nintendo DS game and its message: "Islam is the light", is as racist and ridiculous as the original story was. It also happens to feature one of the bleach blonde reporters that I previously mentioned. I have two pieces of advice for you: Try to be original in your work (i.e. do not bash video games for influencing violence, run a piece on terrible parenting making children not understand the difference between games and real-life instead) and play the game, talk to the producer and figure out what is actually going on before you decide to run the story. Both of the pieces of advice should help improve your ratings and decrease the likelihood of overzealous mothers boycotting products that do not deserve it in the future.

Thank you for your time,

Brad G... and all lot of other people who are sick of shoddy reporting

Xbox 360 (Xbox 360): The Top 7... Genres We Want Back
Most people do not think about the games that we grew up with that died out like these genres. Adventure games were some of the best PC games I ever played as a kid: Mist, Riven, Monkey Island, Atlantis, etc.
