Anyone remember the Red Rum "Shining" mod for Duke Nukem 3D? At the time, it was one of the coolest mods around. Free roam through the Overlook hotel, the whole hedge maze, sound effects from the movie, the twins, old lady in the room, creepy things popping out all over... Anyone know an easy way to get that one to play again today?
Am I the only one that had a blast with the PS2 copy of Magna Cum Laude I found in a bargain bin a few years ago? It was relentlessly hammered by critics as well but turned out to be mindless fun (for those not paid to turn their nose up at these kinds of games). Looking forward to finding Box Office Bust in a bargain bin someday too.
Reviews like these should be labeled "5 Minute Reviews," which is obviously how long the writer played this game and also how long it took to type up these few sentences that are passed off as a "Review."
Too bad the reviews can't be more like the GR Features. They're some of the best around.
Couple cheap shots at Gerstmann. Too bad he's legally not allowed to respond to them.
Some funny "boo-hoo" lines in this one like "Itâs also a bit painful when a review thinks that a bug is a design decision."
LOL! It is a design decision. Leaving bugs in a game is a decision made in order to hit release dates and maximize profits. The consumer comes after those two. Bugs in game = Not enough QA testing = Design decision.
