Hey that was a nice review. I am obsessed with the game at the moment and am also a lifetime sub'er (if that makes my opinion any more valid?) He's right on many points and that yes the game needs more content, but for your first few months of playing you WILL have a blast, just make sure to do what I do, and play the damn game WITH AN XBOX 360 controller, otherwise its just not the same action.
Also I would like to add, that the game is quite simple to learn, you might need to read a few things in the in-game guide(takes 3 minutes at that).
I can sympathize with the reviewer at the games initial complexity, and I too am a bit sheepish when it comes to exceedingly complex building games, but in all honesty folks,
Anno 1701(the prequel) is about the simplest most in depth city building game I've ever played.
I say that knowing that I've had my attention span affected in this day and age of fast action games.
Sometimes slow thrills relax you after a hard days study/work/workout.
Capcom would do well to learn from this if they are considering doing another Megaman game in 3D.
I have not experienced exhilaration in a 3rd person action game like this in a long time.
Anyhow, if you have 5 dollars to throw around then please by all means take an hour of your time and beat this fun little game with some Prodigy turned up!
The publisher of this game is idiotic, when will they learn to monitor release dates of big name games, Jesus!
Empire Total War is not in the same period, but it came with Rome Total War, I mean come on people why would you even bother buying a lesser title when it sits next to 2 for 1 release of Total War?
That being said, I will buy this game perhaps months later when it goes on sale, they really should have released this before Empire came out to get the sales of impatient people or maybe this summer to catch the people who skipped Empire.
PC folks, report to Champions! FORSOOTH!
