Hey that was a nice review. I am obsessed with the game at the moment and am also a lifetime sub'er (if that makes my opinion any more valid?) He's right on many points and that yes the game needs more content, but for your first few months of playing you WILL have a blast, just make sure to do what I do, and play the damn game WITH AN XBOX 360 controller, otherwise its just not the same action. Peace!

Lovely game, more like starting a new hobby though since this is as involving as any GamesWorkshop game. I'd give it an 8 at least, 7's good too.

Just play the demo. Reviews from any website only mean something if you and the reviewer (not the website) have a shared opinion on most games. I find journalists in line with my taste and generally look for their reviews, not necessarily all of IGN or all of GR.

Also I would like to add, that the game is quite simple to learn, you might need to read a few things in the in-game guide(takes 3 minutes at that). I can sympathize with the reviewer at the games initial complexity, and I too am a bit sheepish when it comes to exceedingly complex building games, but in all honesty folks, Anno 1701(the prequel) is about the simplest most in depth city building game I've ever played. I say that knowing that I've had my attention span affected in this day and age of fast action games. Sometimes slow thrills relax you after a hard days study/work/workout. 1 Love

A bit thin for a review of a complicated game. I'd say you owe this long running series more words, but oh well.

He feels its a 6, then its a 6 to him.

Personally I love Anno 1701, and I plan on getting 1404 no matter what the reviews are.

If anyone wants a better take on it, use google translate on some german reviews, they provide an in depth educated look at this game.

I would give 1701 a 9.0, and I bet I'd give this one at least an 8.0, but then again city building is my thing!

use google translate, the review is great

This camera is amazing technology.
Its from an Israeli company called 3DV which MS bought.

3DV's camera was on demo a year ago and is built from Israeli Military motion sensing cameras.

I am not joking, this is why the tech works its consumer version of Military tech.

Thusly Gamesradar has every right to be impressed, you a-hole fanboys of Nintendo need to calm down a little bit.

We don't put up with fanboys in this community.

"We found most of them, but sadly they didn’t unlock a mode that made the game enjoyable"

You simply must mention this during TalkRadar 53.
