Well I'm glad they've opted for the standard Ogre, I feel as though perhaps True Ogre was a little big and clunky to actually fit in here. Nice few additions, only real surprise would be Ogre I guess as the others all seemed to be shoe-ins.

Well on the one hand that's reassuring - means they can be a bit more adventurous and take a few risks on things other companies perhaps wouldn't be able to afford to.

On the other hand, it might be slightly concerning that they might not be paying as much attention to the desires of fans just because they know that they're safe either way. That said perhaps that's not such a bad thing - after all, it's often said that us gamers don't really know what we actually want, we just think that we do.

Gotta agree, I think smartphones are great but I'll pay around half the price of an iPhone to get a machine that is actually dedicated to games and just stick with a regular-ass phone. And the only reason I'd really considered getting an iPhone was for the games, in fact I was swaying more towards an iPod touch (even though I have a regular iPod) but that pretty much won't be necessary now.

Great article Cundy. I am really looking forward to one, but my excitement has dropped a little to the "might wait a while" stage, partly as I'm planning to build a PC soon and the cost of that is so high that I can't really justify buying a full console that close to it.

Haha, oh man that's so ridiculous. If the preferable controls for fighting games and other exclusives weren't enough to decide which platform I should buy this on (and they were, the controller did that alone), then this has definitely sealed the deal.
