There's no way to judge this until I see a solid demo in my hand. Actually, I've seen TV screens use 3D without the need for glasses, which is why I hate the new ones hitting stores (I don't blame theatres, though). It's about time we see a successor to the DS. It was great, but that was 6 years ago. Cycle's over. Next phase please. 3D or no 3D, I want the next line. Justin, I can understand his enthusiasm, but I'll still wait until I see how this turns out. Dave's still Wii-bashing. Even trying to bring up some good points, it's the basis of his argument, so it all falls apart. Sorry. You might as well say the Power Glove is a Proto-PS Move or Project Natal. AMEN! I just got an iPod, and after trying to play a 5-star rated (everyone said they loved it) FPS for, yes, over an hour, I couldn't take it! Why? How did everyone love this? Buggy controls, fingerprints (clean screens make your thumbs stick, no pun intended), and an "if it breaths, kill it" plot. Reminds me why I love my DS. |

When I bought Indigo Prophecy, everyone said to pick up the Strategy Guide, "You'll need it." So I did; I beat the game, and I still haven't opened the book. Considering how long it took to make the game (6 years) I was expecting more. Dragon's Lair: Just released on DSiWare. Not a 5 star game, but a must have for ANY historian! |

GR picks 360. Who didn't see that coming? As far as console sales go, Wii's got the lead; always has/will. Doesn't matter (most of that won't even go to gamers). What matters now is games, and yes, it will probably be the 360, just like last year. Hopefully, the introduction of Project Natal and Sony's "wand" will encourage 3rd party developers hoping to catch casual players. That means one thing: SHOVELWARE! But that's good; it means that all the crap swamping the Wii should be more evenly divided between the 3 systems, giving the 3rd party exclusives, like Grinder, Red Steel 2, Conduit 2 etc., a better chance. |

Basically, we bet on one of two scenarios for the Wii: a repeat of '09 (a slew of silent hits, everything from Grinder to Red Steel 2), or a hardcore wake-up call. If the former happens, that should finalize the Wii's flatline (hey, we're ready for the next cycle anyway). If the latter happens, that means the hits of 09 were enough to bring back the fans, and almost nothing should flop. I don't see any in-between here. |

Crash on the Simpsons? No you don't get recognized outside GAMES unless you're huge! And all I've ever seen (besides shitty direct Saturday morning cartoons) are nods to Mario, Link, Pac-man, and maaaaybe Sonic. "Dash" definitely means Crash was big! No, I say let Crash rest. He was almost the face of Sony for a while, but all other mascots have really gone Kaput! Poor Sonic was just run into the ground; MS is trying to reach "new audience" and after ODST, pretty much told Master Chief to hit the road. Mario's holding in there for now, but he's taken a lot a heat lately. No telling how long he's going to last. Let us remember Crash with fond memories. |

It's always tough when a predecessor redefines a genre or series. If the sequel doesn't make every improvement the prequel does, it's "awful." Even if the sequel is every bit the former was, and little more, if it doesn't make the leaps and bounds its predecessor did, it's "terrible." I don't care. I still love it as long as it doesn't totally back slide. |

I'm telling ya, Heavy Rain is worth buying a PS3 for (that also goes for Omikron on the Dreamcast!). But like Valve, Quantic Dream is dedicated to quality and professionalism and is infamous for taking YEARS to get games out the door. It took them, what, 6 or 7 years for Indigo/Farenheit? Releasing HR next year'll be a record for them. |
