2 weeks ago 5 things Kingdoms of Amalur does better than Skyrim
Kingdoms of Amalur seemed extremely generic for me while playing the demo, especially when the first enemy I encountered was a giant rat, although as soon as the story kicked in I was actually quite interested in the game and how things were progressing.

Then pieces of the floor started becoming transparent and I was a little wary. Still, I enjoyed my 45 minutes lost in its land and went to play it again, although after skipping all the initial cutscenes, suddenly all the conversation was automatically skipped as well.

Needless to say, I'm still wary about KoA. At the moment it's buggy, and sure, so was Skyrim on the PS3, but at least that took a while before showing its flaws. I'm sure they'd fix such a thing before release, though, and I'm just going to play it safe and wait for the reviews to be written.

Gotham City's Olympus? Zeus as a side-villain, perhaps? This game looks awesome and they've really expanded on the environment from AA. It really is hard to choose what the hell I'm actually going to buy!

I noticed in the FAP that Matt said that he thinks that there's no reference to the initial ad that got Dead Island all the hype, although somewhere in the game you can see the same room with the father and mother dead and holding hands.

Now all we need is a reference to Secret Origins...Anyway, I'm picking this up and I'll see how I go!

It's strange that in a previous article it was mentioned that adults wanted an emphasis on things other then killing people in games and now you're praising gore...(even though you've done that at the end of the year for who knows how long).

Needless to say, I still agree wholeheartedly with everything on this page and its existence...
