Don't feed the trolls. I'm pretty excited, as last years' edition was the first in the series that I had skipped and I'm looking to get back on the bandwagon. I'm happy they finally improved the pacing of the matches as well. I only have one question though; if the momentum meter only rises, is there still some sort of way to tell how fatigued or weak the opponent is? Probably via some sort of on screen indicator like limping, perhaps? |

@Tyrlanae - Thank you. Couldn't have said it better myself. The only way this can be justified, is if they take it in a WHOLE new direction. As in, he's just a regular teenage kid in high school who discovers LSD, and his Devil Trigger is when he drops the cube. That explains his new, Billy Idol-abandoning look. ALL of the demons he sees are hallucinations, and he OD's and dies mid-game, only to go to hell and come back to be the fifth horseman of death. Bam, there's your reboot. Because he looks like he's on Meth. However, I will enjoy crushing Dante's in MvC3 all the more if they reveal this as one of his Alternates down the line. |

The way that Sterling comes across, in both this article and many others, just screams that he's an insufferable prick. Even the few points I agreed on I ended up agitated by, purely by his diction and tone. And it's not even the content, it's the context. Antista could have written something about the death of Megaman and even if I disagreed I would come away from it feeling... Annoyed as I do. |

Wow Vane, way to fail at the hate bandwagon. I completely missed out on this whole story. I've already purchased the game, used, with a large majority of the content already locked and a slew of high scores already in place. I didn't care though, when I was buying it I knew what I was getting in a handheld Mercenaries game. The unlockable characters who were already unlocked? If you hadn't already a clue as to who was going to appear in this game, than this game already isn't aimed at you. After a day of solid playing, none of the previous scores even existed, so that point was moot as well. I will replay this my damn self, two or three years down the line when it's become forgotten on my shelf and I cycle back to it. And it will be new again and I'll just beat my own high scores... With that said... Really Capcom? No 'Data Reset' tucked away at the back of the options? You just [i]knew[/i] that haters were gonna hate. |

As if they would be stupid enough to let 13-17 year old children compete with professional paintball players or trained soldiers on a paintball course. Of course it's 18+, and if I was more of a CoD fan I'd be all over this. After reading this article, I went out and bought the only new copy of Deadly Premonition in all of the GameStops in Alaska. The tank controls don't bother me in the slightest, because I'm the gamer who still goes back to play Contra and Twisted Metal on a semi-regular basis. I have got to say, that I am really starting to love this game. I never would have even looked twice at it if it weren't for reading this. Thanks for the recommendation, and any other obscure gems like this that you guys find, you should really give us a heads up. |

I am completely with oldschoolgamer here. Some of the new fatalities in Mortal Kombat were enough to illicit more than a few cursory words of approval, what with Quan Chi ripping his opponents' leg off and beating them to death with it. And some gamers bat not an eyelid, yet when this rudimentary part of our anatomy is exposed for an adult video game, you see complaints. It's either all okay, or none of it is. And that's what M is for, for Mature. If you aren't able to handle subjects which most well adjusted adults come across in every day life, such as nudity and/or sex, then how are you able to play any of the violent games out there? It's unnerving, how gore can be viewed as okay, but the grace of a natural female body can be offensive. It's pretty damn stupid. |

I remember back when he was DanElektro on Gamepro a decade ago, constantly being real, real shitty to their real fans on the website back when it was just a fledgling and the chat would die every few hours or so. It got to the point where about 20-some-odd constant users ended up getting fed up and leaving to form their own website, PGNx. He even eventually came on to the board to try and defend himself, with another inflammatory statement. And now he's trying to circumvent the damage done by saying he was misquoted, or joking? The Spider-Man one was so classic, I HAD to log in and comment. The best one to me has got to be, "Hey how about turning off that horn pipe?" As he's slowly being entranced in rope at 3:18. Or, "Sorry Skinhead, I'm of the old school." When being interrogated by a goateed Verne Troyer at 5:18. I don't really like Spider-Man as a character, so this was even better for me. Truthfully though, this right here is the reason your parents are so fucked up and out of touch with what their children like today. Hilary Clinton grew up with this, and I had The Amazing Spider-Man, where he ripped the heads off of robots. |

I for one have been anxiously awaiting this game since late night Dreamcast MVC2 sessions, bad Mugen mash-ups, and reading articles confirming that this was never going to happen. I ordered it from the website exclusively because I got an extra shirt. Not free, because I had to pay ten bucks in shipping, but when it gets here tomorrow/the day after tomorrow/a few days from now(which will have me weeping because of how many of my friends already have it), then you'd better believe I'll be playing heart out. It's called getting hype, gentlemen. You either do, or you don't. |

Seriously, did anyone expect anything different from your typical elitist Halo douchebags? If it's ANYTHING less than a 9.5 the masses bitch, and bitch, and bitch, and... It just will not stop, because it's like you are discrediting GOD in their eyes. I liked the first Halo game, but I didn't find it revolutionary, and I thought that it was extremely overrated, and overhyped. And it just went downhill from there. I recently purchased Halo 3 from a pawn shop, played online for about 4 hours and then was at the top of the boards almost every game. That's just... Sad. And the campaign, while interesting in story, was so monotonous and drab it was pretty disuading from any further Halo exploits. So I traded it back in for The Darkness, in my opinion a far, far better game. |

I for one am a huge SvR fan, but only because of the lack of options. Back when Aki was making games for the 64, and the SvR games were only for Playstation, I'd pick up No Mercy far before I'd pick up 'Shut Your Mouth.' What I think should happen, is that Aki, more recently famous for such games as 'Def Jam: Fight For NY' and 'Def Jam Vendetta,' should strike up a relationship with TNA and try to undo some of the terrible, 'WWF Attitude' inspired gameplay of their recent(and only) outing. |

Finally, we get a game that's essentially a throwback with a bad-ass love story on top of it, and for the most part it seems to be nothing but complaining. Are you kidding? These are the kinds of games that people of my era (Late NES, all of Genesis, SNES) have been clamoring for since that era died. Even if you don't like the River City Ransom inspired gameplay in the snippet, you should be able to at least appreciate it.
