Don't feed the trolls. I'm pretty excited, as last years' edition was the first in the series that I had skipped and I'm looking to get back on the bandwagon. I'm happy they finally improved the pacing of the matches as well. I only have one question though; if the momentum meter only rises, is there still some sort of way to tell how fatigued or weak the opponent is? Probably via some sort of on screen indicator like limping, perhaps? |

@Tyrlanae - Thank you. Couldn't have said it better myself. The only way this can be justified, is if they take it in a WHOLE new direction. As in, he's just a regular teenage kid in high school who discovers LSD, and his Devil Trigger is when he drops the cube. That explains his new, Billy Idol-abandoning look. ALL of the demons he sees are hallucinations, and he OD's and dies mid-game, only to go to hell and come back to be the fifth horseman of death. Bam, there's your reboot. Because he looks like he's on Meth. However, I will enjoy crushing Dante's in MvC3 all the more if they reveal this as one of his Alternates down the line. |

The way that Sterling comes across, in both this article and many others, just screams that he's an insufferable prick. Even the few points I agreed on I ended up agitated by, purely by his diction and tone. And it's not even the content, it's the context. Antista could have written something about the death of Megaman and even if I disagreed I would come away from it feeling... Annoyed as I do. |

It's sad that sometimes there's more content packed into one of these games than there is a full big budget title. Twisted Pixel, I'll happily give you my ten bucks! Keep pumping out the good work. |

Wow Vane, way to fail at the hate bandwagon. I completely missed out on this whole story. I've already purchased the game, used, with a large majority of the content already locked and a slew of high scores already in place. I didn't care though, when I was buying it I knew what I was getting in a handheld Mercenaries game. The unlockable characters who were already unlocked? If you hadn't already a clue as to who was going to appear in this game, than this game already isn't aimed at you. After a day of solid playing, none of the previous scores even existed, so that point was moot as well. I will replay this my damn self, two or three years down the line when it's become forgotten on my shelf and I cycle back to it. And it will be new again and I'll just beat my own high scores... With that said... Really Capcom? No 'Data Reset' tucked away at the back of the options? You just [i]knew[/i] that haters were gonna hate. |

As if they would be stupid enough to let 13-17 year old children compete with professional paintball players or trained soldiers on a paintball course. Of course it's 18+, and if I was more of a CoD fan I'd be all over this. Living in Alaska also doesn't help, but nevertheless this is a hell of an idea and I truly love the way big game companies are going balls out with promotional events for their games. After reading this article, I went out and bought the only new copy of Deadly Premonition in all of the GameStops in Alaska. The tank controls don't bother me in the slightest, because I'm the gamer who still goes back to play Contra and Twisted Metal on a semi-regular basis. I have got to say, that I am really starting to love this game. I never would have even looked twice at it if it weren't for reading this. Thanks for the recommendation, and any other obscure gems like this that you guys find, you should really give us a heads up. |
