I'm not sure what to make of this. I have visited a few sites that have given 8-10 scored reviews, others found the game bad. Anyone try this and wants to share their impressions? I like my Sins of a Solar Empire, this sounds somewhat similar minus the 3d graphics.

Nice to see you guys giving this the attention it deserves. Tropico 1 was an underrated gem that I played (and still play) to death.

After playing and beating both of the demo missions, I have to say it's a done deal for me, I'll probably pre-order this from steam and get the bonus maps.

For those that have played Tropico 1, it's almost exactly like it. The mechanics are similar but the graphics are much improved, along with some noticable nice touches like being able to set the wages for ALL like businesses rather than doing it one at a time. Veterans of 1 will feel right at home.

On a side note, the missions seem much easier in this game which is a bonus. Tropico 1's missions were unforgivably rough, at least in my opinion. I stuck / stick to freeplay. Hopefully the difficulty stays where its at, from demo to finish.

Needless to say I'm eagerly awaiting this game's release.

Well done Tyler, this is something I'll definately be buying when it is released. In COD4 I got bored with MP after a while, it was cool for a few matches but after getting my behind handed to me by skilled players constantly I got fed up. Those death streak perks sound like they might make things more interesting for us less skilled folk.

I honestly didn't have fun with it. The jokes within the game were cool to see, but when it came to playing the game I didn't see much depth beyond controlling your fall to collect the most points possible. I get bored easily, which is probably why I am such an RPG / RTS junkie. This game just got repetitive and boring for me.

The demo is free however, my advice is to try it out on steam before dropping $$$ on it.

I remember and owned shadowgate and uninvited. Shadowgate took me years to beat since there were no gamefaqs around then. Got close to beating Uninvited but never did, but saw a walkthru in Nintentdo Power so I at least got to see the ending.

Is this friendly for kids around the age of 8 or do you have to have a pretty extensive vocabulary to get anywhere in this game?

Borderlands (Xbox 360): Four things you need to know about Borderlands
I personally am watching this game and more than likely buying it. There aren't a lot of RPG FPS's out there, when Fallout 3 and Oblivion came along I had a blast.

The different classes, the talent trees, the reported many weapons and items to collect, winding all the into a FPS sounds pretty epic.

I'm hoping the game delievers upon release, unlike a certain hyped up Spore where half of what they said it would do wasn't put into the game.

I was disappointed with Spore in the first place, this doesn't surprise me. Trying to polish a terd with an expansion only results in continuing to be a crappy product.

Nice job Charlie. Sometimes I read bad reviews on purpose because the insulting comments made by the reviewer usually make me laugh. This was great, thanks.

QOTW: What was the first movie game that made you hate movie games?
Hands down...Who Framed Roger Rabbit for the NES. The build-up punch feature where he hobbles for a minute with his fist in the air while you wait for the punch bar to get to full...The corny jokes you're forced to answer when caught on the road by the bad guy toons...

The only redeeming feature was when you did manage to build up your punch, you can knock Roger Rabbit off the screen.
