I downloaded it yesterday and started playing it. Only made it to level 2 and unlocked a few talents, but so far so good. My only concern is how much "free content" there is and at what point do I have to pay anything to advance to later levels, if that even exists.

I had technical issues with the last Borderlands. It would crash to desktop every half hour and connecting via multiplayer was a pain. I hope this one fixes all of that.

Great guide, thanks. Once Verizon installs my internet (I moved during their strike so i've been roughing w/o for a while) I will give this game a go and use the above. I still haven't decided on a stealth or gung-ho approach yet...

As someone who's never played the origional, I have to ask, what game is it most comparable to?

For example, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines? Fallout 3? Metal Gear?

Freaky, I was just trying to think of the name for this for the QOTW but couldn't.

There was a submarine mode too against the AI, it's been 20 years but I remember it being a lot of fun.
