I agree with angryscotsman, the second carmine was eaten by the big worm, then attacked by those little things, and was being dissolved alive i think by those feelers that you weren't supposed to touch.

What about Star Wars: Republic Commando? In the end of the game you lose one of your squad mates when you are leaving kashyk and it turns out that a major invasion starts and the main character says something like, " I guess we are going back to find our friend" To this day I'm still waiting for a sequel.

Hmm that's a really good point I always wonder what that locust at the end of Gears of war meant by what she said, does anybody remember what she says when the game ended?
