I was "lucky" enough to only encounter annoying glitches as opposed to game-breaking ones. I have it on PS3 and occasionally it wouldn't let me start a mission but there was always a way around it. Online, however, it repeatedly failed to track my stats as well as losing any upgrades I'd earned.

Also, any other PS3 users get spammed my some tw@ts with game invites for this game?

I think you guys should review every new release this way... although then you'd just be the new Edge, except without taking yourself anywhere near as seriously. Not that anyone could ever take themselves as seriously as Edge; nor would an Edge reviewer be allowed to mark down games such as Braid.

*takes Edge-bashing hat off*

GR used to annoy me - full of immature content and words like "goresplosion". Now I love it for these exact same reasons. Unpretentious, and never forgetting that games are supposed to be FUN to play and discuss. Unlike most other games sites I could mention.

For anyone who still hasn't seen the HOTD film.... you simply have to. It's SO BAD that at times you think that Boll has pulled off a hilarious parody of the genre. But he hasn't. It just really is that bad.

Often certain websites, who shall remain unnamed here, never get involved, no matter how much furore their comments cause.

Keep it up. Might even go buy a DS now.

I'm not great as SF, never have been, so vowed to practice when IV came out. Had a few fights online and have held my own a lot of the time, and got savaged other times.

Imagine my surprise when I was thrashed by a veteran (who was guilty of nos. 6, 8 AND 10 at least) actually bothered to message me on PSN to tell me to "learn to fight".

Maybe this'll encourage more people to play Wipeout HD online. There's so few players online at a time that it's quite hard to find a game. Give us some DLC too, that might help bring them back!

Bit harsh on Resistance 2 there... I thought the SP was great as well as the MP - tons of varied enemy types force you to mix up your tactics, as do the inspired set pieces and ace weapons.

Fair point about the story though... played through it 3 times now and nothing ever seems to happen - the cut scenes just serve the purpose of transporting you from one location to the next, without ever really explaining anything.

FEAR 2 sounds like it might just fill the gap between R2/GOW 2 and KZ2. The Eurogamer review of this puzzled me though... 5/10 but reads like at least a 7.
