1 year, 6 months ago GR’s Saturday Giveaway: StarCraft II Collector’s Edition and more
Having the collector's edition OBVIOUSLY makes you better, and with the way I play, I need all the help I can get. This would be awesome.

Thanks in advance.

Why did you not record it? Please record all of these in the future (if Ustream permits it), a lot of us missed out.

I like my Bethesda games. Feel free to copy my answers everyone, I almost never win anything and do not expect to win this either.
1 year, 7 months ago Study: Professional game reviews strongly affect consumer behavior
Curious. Being someone who closely follows the games industry and the games journalist sector, I do find myself more likely to buy a high-scoring game over a low-scoring game. However, I do not necessarily attribute this fact to individual reviews, but all reviews as a whole.

Let me explain. Being a well-informed gamer, I read many game reviews. I pay attention to what makes a game good and what makes a game bad. Because I read many reviews and I am able to identify what makes a good game, should I stumble across a good review with points that properly validate the score, It is very likely that I will buy that game. The point I am trying to make is that I am not necessarily well sold on a game by reviews, I am well-informed so I realize that a good review must be about a good game. A less-informed person (informed about games) may react entirely differently towards reviews, being easily swayed by a score, rather than the points used to validate that score.
1 year, 7 months ago 10 reasons the Alien movies are the biggest influence on video games ever
Great observations. I made a lot of these connections as well, it is amazing how influential these movies were to games, film, and the entire sci-fi genre.
1 year, 7 months ago GamesRadar T-shirt store now open for business!
I bought a shirt. Like the 'AA' sizes (whatever that means) for us skinny guys. Just wondering, if I made the decal larger than 100% (the default that it is put on the shirt as) will it look all wonky? It looked fine in the preview, but I am concerned that it is not entirely accurate. Are the photos of the GR staff with the logos at exactly 100% (the way they are put on the shirt)? I still have time to fix my shirt so if it will look wonky could you let me know!?

1 year, 7 months ago Change the way you think to get better at games
Amazingly insightful, I have been waiting for somebody to point this out for a while, especially the idea of 'skill' in a video game; the fact that the things that people deem 'cheep' are merely effective and they should not be looked down upon for it. The people who are being beaten by a simple tactic are the 'bad' players. Well done.
