The_Tingler commented on: Games that were hated before they were released |
|
| I have rescinded my previous hate of L4D2 and officially love it, but I still don't think Valve have adequately supported the original. Two Versus campaigns that should've been in at the start, a Survival mode that gets boring after a few plays, and that piss-poor Crash Course mini-campaign aren't really what I was hoping for. And I highly doubt we'll be getting anything new for L4D now that the sequel's out, despite Valve's assurances. Still, the user campaigns make it worthwhile. There are some really great ones out there. As for GamesRadar's article - great, but I think it's a bit unfair you included Diablo III. The damn thing's not out yet! |

| That's the first time I've seen the lemmings footage. I think I've deliberately avoided it all these years... Pinocchio I also haven't seen in years because it so traumatised me! I think you left one off though - how about alcohol? I.e. Dumbo? @FlyinMX They are still out there. Just a few fairly recent good cartoons include The Powerpuff Girls, The Cramp Twins and (some episodes) Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. Shaun The Sheep is also utterly fantastic too, for all ages, (although technically not a cartoon) and what they put poor baby Timmy through is sometimes nightmarish! |

The_Tingler commented on: What's the story with Sonic the Hedgehog 2010? |
|
| Okay, for GamesRadar, devildog18 and everyone else worried about the name 'Project Needlemouse' - DON'T. In fact the name 'Needlemouse' is even more proof that Sega are trying to get back to Sonic's roots - as before he was given the name 'Sonic', his original concept art simply referred to him as 'Mr Needlemouse'. So Project Needlemouse isn't about a new character, it's just a quirky way of saying This Is A Sonic Game. There are plenty of other things to be worried about though. Like if Sonic Team's doing it. They've already screwed up one 2D Sonic game (Sonic Rush Adventure) by adding crap adventure sections, the irriting new characters they seem desperate to keep putting in, and forcing you to replay every level many times until all the joy is gone. Call me cautious. Burn me oncem shame on you, burn me six or more times, shame on me. |

| Excellent, thanks for doing my suggestion GR! And especially thanks for tracking down that strange inmate. There's (at least) one more Easter Egg in there though that I know about - in the Visitor Centre on the glass in front of the TV-holding Joker, there's the message "Monty Woz Ere". Who's Monty? I didn't see a Monty in the credits list... |

| @spawny0908 Seriously?! Excellent! Also a couple of questions: who is the inmate in the Security Centre opposite Clayface? Is it Sefton Hill? And IGN mentioned that Mr Freeze has a brief cameo. I've found his room but he doesn't appear to be in it. Does he appear anywhere or is IGN confused? |

| The last Spirit of Arkham doesn't count as a riddle. You can have the 240 riddles done and not have the final Spirit of Arkham Chronicle. The way you can check what riddle you are missing is by going to the in-game Riddle page and pressing Left Trigger and Right Trigger. This goes through every area and you can see all the riddles you have left to do and where they are. Icemangmc, do this and then check on Gamesradar's page! |

The_Tingler commented on: GC 09: Microsoft Gamescom conference |

| I think Microsoft underestimated how big Gamescom was, or overestimated how much people cared about Fable III. Can we have another original game now please Lionhead? Just not one that was so incredibly hard and time consuming, like The Movies. |

The_Tingler commented on: Gaming's most incestuous soundtracks |
|
| I don't know if the Doom one really counts, as those secret levels were actually Wolfenstein levels and so it's not surprising they share the same music. In Telltale's Sam & Max Season One, the tavern theme from Bone makes an appearance if you find and look at the Barrelhavern Tavern sign. |

The_Tingler commented on: Disabled but deadly: Gamings physically challenged killers |
|
| The characters in Smash Bros (the first one, anyway) actually ARE toys, and Master Hand and Crazy Hand are the hands of the person that owns the toys... and who gets obviously freaked out and leaves them alone when his toys beat him up. So technically not disabled. |

The_Tingler commented on: The worst things a gamer can say to their girlfriend |
|
| All reasons why not being able to pause most cutscenes are an absolute crime against gaming. Unfortunately my girlfriend falls into this list. She's brilliant in every other way, but she's just not a gamer. And so Left 4 Dead came out at the worst possible time for me... |

| Why didn't you mention the user maps for Left 4 Dead or many user zombie maps for COD:WAW? I was bored of the regular games months ago, but fortunately I own the PC versions so get a steady stream of interesting free new content. Death Aboard is frankly better than any of Valve's four campaigns. And that Dawn of the Dead campaign is looking frickin' amazing. |
