Finnaly got this game, and I'm glad. It's tons of fun and the environments are gorgeous. You can play as almost any type of character. Run-and-gun, tactical, explosives, stealth. It succeeds on all levels. I'm personally a fan of the realism involved. 1 headshot = 1 kill with ANY gun. If you have'nt picked this one up, do so, it's cheap now, and worth every penny.
Ey Frosty, does'nt whining about arguements being on game forums kind of defeat your own purpose? And you have far more comments than swordworld, who apparently needs to get a life. Btw, I went ahead and stowed it, and I gave halo 3 another chance...meh. 6/10, and only when played in great moderation. And furthermore, I agree with zuffle about everyone having thier own opinion, however, his hostility makes him sound biased and arogant, hence the comment.
I guess if you REALLY like achievement icons then, yeah, stay away from this game. If you like GAMING however, this game is fantastic. But, like all games it has a few flaws. First, the boss battles are somewhat linear and redundant, but the achievements challenge you to change up the fights. Also, the controls are easy to use, but at times they're EXTREMELY frustrating. You'll more than likely find yourself cursing the game when you try to do something as simple as a wall-run and end up jumping to your doom. On the other hand, the positives are staggering. The visual style of this game is absolutely gorgeous and the way it flows with the style of gameplay is essentialy flawless. The landscapes are magnificent and intrueging and the addition of Elika is great for both the story and the gameplay. I agree with the rating of 8/10, it is short, rent or borrow it if you cant get it cheap, but it's an amzing game that boldly strays from it's predecesors, but in all the right ways.
Psychoman, you're incredibly nieve. Halo 3 isnt the worst game in history, but for anyone who loved halo 1 and was blown away by 2, loved 2 and was expecting to be blown away by 3. That did'nt happen. The people bad-mouthing halo 3 have fully functional brains and know when to say something they ought to like did'nt actually meet the standards they were expecting. Halo 3 was an utter let down to anyone who truly loved Halo 2. They should have called it Halo 2.3, MAYBE 2.5. Any self respecting FPS fan dropped Halo 3 and picked up COD or GOW. (Call of duty and gears of war since you probably dint like either one Mr. Halo fanboy). Halo 3 on ANY diffuculty isnt fun, I died a wopping 3 times, difficulty had nothing to do with game being a total crapchute. Expand your horizons buddy, Halo is old news.
The game may be short, but it's incredibly fun. Great game for any Star Wars fan. I beat it on every difficulty and never got bored so I have to disagree with the game being monotenous. It most definately has replay value. It's a real blast, theres tons of combos and plenty of different ways to dispatch of your enemies. The only thing I would have liked to see is the ability to sever limbs, its not like there would be any blood, it's lightsaber, instant coderization. But freezing stormtroopers in carbonite is a pretty decent substitute. And for anyone looking to kick it dark side, you may be dissapointed. The story has it's own design that you really cant tamper with and still have it make sense. You do have a choice at the end, but I wont spoil anything. Overall, if you love Star Wars, check this game out, you'll enjoy it everytime, it's like playing a new Star Wars movie. I personally give it a 9/10, it has it's flaws and glitches, but so does every game. TFU is non-stop fun, exitement, and a great addition to the Star Wars franchise. It's truly a blast to play.
Out of sheer tenacity, Im going to go ahead and say the original fable is a better game. It's solid, the story is awesome, and it leaves no loose ends. I like the world better too. Fable 2, while still being wicked awesome, seemed to focus more on what your character can do with his/her freetime, rather than what your character actually means to the world and the story. And while the map may be bigger, fast travel tottaly ruins it. And the ability to jump over the fences in 2 as opposed to 1 is irrelevant seeing as how nine times out of ten you jump the fence and run about ten feet either way and meet a cliff face or a forest you cant go through. Also, the story is lack-luster at best. Fable 2 would have been infinately better if the time period was the same. Right after Jack of blades is purged from the world. A story where Jack returns even more powerful than ever, and more menacing looking, would have kiccked ass. Fable 1's universe had the mideival fantasy feel to it, with true good and pure evil. Fable 2 reminds me of the 1700's. And really? temple of light and shadows? Skorm and Avo were so much better. The guns are cool, but the legendary weapons are super lame. And theres no armor... Also, massacering towns in fable 1 is STILL fun, that same feeling just isnt there for fable 2. And the spells, dont even get me started on the spells, in one word, LAMO. In more words, wtf happened between the spells in 1 and the spells in 2?! Peter Monyluex is a genious, I will say that, Fable 2 is great. But Fable 1 still has my vote, Fable 1 just gets you so much more immersed into the story, you character matters so much more, with good you can save the world, with evil you can rule it. Fable 2, your charaters deeds impact almost nothing but your apperance. Monyluex, please go back in time if you make a Fable 3.

So they're making a Prince of Persia Movie, The Sands of Time. Good news right? Wrong, who ever was in charge of casting needs to get fired or hit in the face with a wet noodle,(it degrades us all). The actor expected to portray The Prince is(brace yourself)...Jake Gyllenhal. If he can do it, congratulations, but I saw a couple pics, hes absent of a beard, long hair, and the tan desert-inhabiting skin that the Prince needs. I predict a box-office flop, I really hope I'm wrong, because that story has A LOT of pottential to make a great movie.

Can't wait for this game! Unreal parkour, ridiculous spells using you body as weapon, abosorbing people and memories, and an interesting story to boot. I hope the delay is worth it.
How long is this game? And does it have any replay value? I just want to know if I should even consider buying it, or just renting it. And for the record, if anyone is gonna bash a game for having a female main character, ask yourself how many games you've played and hated even though there was a male main character. If the gameplay is awesome, the main character rarely detracts from the overall quality of the game. Besides, that chick seems pretty damn cool to me, I guess I just dont understand why a game has to have a big burly guy blowing peoples heads off in order to be good. Lay off the testosterone you chick bashing whiners.
I'm fairly confident the campaing could'nt be more epic, but I'd love to be proved wrong by Gears 3. The chainsaw gets a little out of hand on xbl, but it's still really fun. And if anyone beats all of hoarde on insane, SOLO, you win a country.
If you can borrow it from a freind or rent it for about a week or two, go that route rather than buying it. While it is a GREAT game, perhaps the most addicting one I've played, the addiction lasts for about a week, then it gets old hat real fast. Severe lack of character customization, a level 20 level cap, and extremely redundant enemies. Also, if you develop your first or second character a lot, dont expect any replay value, the game is short and and easy to beat. And while the game boasts that it has hundreds of ways to end it, you have to take into consideration that there are a lot of diolouge options, many of which lead to the same result. And heres another dual-edged sword for you, the game has a HUGE map withA LOT of different locations to travel to and find, but only about 7 are worth going to, and have to get there on foot. You can essentially beat the game with a combat shotgun and an assault rifle, even on a high difficulty, so dont expect to find too many "Legendary" weapons like some of the godly things you found in ES 4:OBLIVION. You'll find a few unique weapons, yes, but they just do a bit more damage and thats it, so theres little inscentive to go exploring. Overall, I would have said 10/10 after a week of gameplay, after 2 weeks I'd have said it 8/10, after a month...6/10.
I haven't played yet, I'd really like to, but I'm wondering wether or not it's worth buying. Does it have any replay value? It sounds short, and while I coulnt agree more with shifty about dying, redundant bosses sounds like a drag. So should I buy it or rent it?
