Left 4 Dead just doesn't interest me. I think it's because the zombies are so cardboard cutout (and yes yes I know there are enemy types). But without solid motivation to kill them, it just feels hollow.
Will certainly be playing this one at LAN parties though, I'm sure.
my idea for infamous two is either kessler's life (when did the ray shere activate for him) or a totally new hero (i going in depth with this). a rebel group learns of the true events of empire city and steal the gov't new ray sphere proto. Upon returning to base, they accidently activate it or drop it in Pacific city. There is a new hero with powers of something not electric. there aRE NEW gangs fighting. while the new hero is mastering his powers, the rebels confront him. The hero must decide between helping the rebels, the pacific city citizens or the gangs or possibly the gov't. Cole learns of the new hero and prepares to leave empire. the new hero stops one of the big gangs and moves on to a new section of the city. He meets cole soon after. Cole's looks depends on what your first finished save file's actions. He helps you til you finish beating the gangs doing the most damage. pacific is smaller than empire. once you finish preparing to leave, the travel to empire begins. it takes two days to get there. the hero and cole defeat some gang uprisings that have been causing. You then travel to prison island. upon landing, two soldiers attack the hero. the two soldiers were the people who the govt tested on and have powers. After the long battle you face either the beast or the new hero from the future corrupted by evil. once the even longer batttle is finished, the two heros part and return to their cities preparing for the beast (if the beast hasn't come yet) or preparing to stop future ray spheres
OMG! I must say this time around I still feel like the Left4Dead series is gonna be around and as well an inspiration for other shooter games to come. Its amazing and I admire he melee weapons that alone made the replay value much higher for me than in the first Left$Dead. One thing I will admit is that his time around I notice myself dying more than did in the first one, not because of poor executions but, because this time around A.I is more likely to run into previous areas that we've wiped out and get swarmed by zombies or special infected, can't take down a tank as fast and effectively as in the first one, and there are more swarms of zombies to attack this time around.
I must admit this game I knew wouldn't let me down but, it is amazing at how repititous it isn't with all the new quirks, gadgets, assassination options, puzzles, landmarks, being able to make it rain with only 10 florins and watch the people of their cities go crazy just for a few florins and while they scavenge for the florins I simply walk thru the crowds and pickpocket everyone that is unaware of the diversion and loot them all blindly! I also love the chokeslam, OMG! This time around the game is far more compelling and creative. I was blown away by the intro, with Ezio and his family being framed and his father and two brothers were lynched for a falsely committed crime. Also im playing Left4Dead2 so I can't beat this game as fast as I normally would if I didn't have a girlfriend that lives with me, a full-time working job, and a social life like others that do not have these three key things to optimize ones GAME-TIME!!!!
@LawlingLobstaFTW I assume you're being sarcastic, so did you not notice the large "SPOILERS AHEAD" graphic with bold exclamation points at the very beginning of the article?
A whiny fanboy, me? That's a first! I think I explain well enough how the combat and co-op are entertaining enough to make it a solid, fun game, which deserves to be called "great," but that I didn't find it mind-blowingly compelling. lol lets flam war.
