I look forward to this, but I'm curious as to whether the online play will require friend codes or not. I'm hoping for the latter, since friend codes seem like too much of a hassle for the little bit of protection offered. It's not like someone's going to go off and murder some random person they "met" while playing a DS game online with them, c'mon! That's the real issue I have with Nintendo's online stuff. There are so many dang friend codes required to play with someone, it hardly seems worth it.
God, I could go on a rant for hours on how ridiculous it is that those baby games are still being produced, but I'm gonna keep my mouth shut on this one.
You know, now that I think back to the N64 days, I can't remember EVER playing GoldenEye singleplayer as a kid. We jumped straight into multiplayer right off the bat.
Great game...
I read y'alls article on fun things to do on Home, and one of the things was see how big of a flame war you could start with as few words as possible. Let's see how many this article can start. As FalconMbuster said, "Let the petty arguments commence!!"
How sad is it that most of the music on my iPod, which currently has 950 songs on it, is from videogame or movie soundtracks.
Ocarina of Time, Majoras Mask, and Twilight Princess, all from Z.R.E.O., Kingdom Hearts I & II, Halo I, II, & III, various Final Fantasy games, Fallout 3, and those are all just from games!
Also, for those who don't know, Z.R.E.O. (Zelda Reorchestrated) is a non-profit group that creates reorchestrated versions of most songs from all the Zelda games. The songs are arranged into albumns, and all of their music is available for download at zreomusic.com. Luckely, because the guys there create their music for the public, rather than for profit, it's free on their site for download.
If only their were groups like that for all good videogame soundtracks.
@somthing42: I know what you mean. I owned five, sold them all less than a week after purchase, but then my sister bought Mario Party 8. I hate that game so much, but it's not mine to sell, and she won't stop begging me to play it! That game, along with her damn HSM Sing It game are EVIL!
Considering how many people (myself included, since my original DS bit the dust) bought the DS lite when it was really, as fionnoh put it, "just a ds filed down," such a big leap in the features of the DSi is definately going to make it hotter than the lite in no-time. Sure, they're gimmicky features, but to put it simply, if the lite sold that well, I can probably guess what sales will look like when the DSi hits stores here.
And who knows, maybe Nintendo will get wise and use the profits to do something that the company can be proud of, like making some GOOD Wii games, rather than the crap we have now. And maybe they'll stop making diaper changing sims and generic crap(you know what I mean) for the Wii and DS as well...
nah that's hoping too much. It'd be great if it happened though...
My friends and I spent a lot of time on Ring of Fates, and we all loved it, although it got very repeatative after playing the same levels over and over again. This game is apparantly going to fix that, so I can pretty much guarantee that we'll all be hooked on the game. Look forward to it.
Hell, even the soundtrack gave me chills while playing this. The game ROCKED! Too bad I only got to play it at a friend's house, and it was just a rental.
It's games like these that make me regret getting a wii over a PS3 pr 360 even more than usual. ((growls) damn nintendo with all their empty promises and crappy "casual" games)
Oh well, guess it's time to start saving up, oh wait that's right! The econemy's shot! Here's hoping that Obama and the big wigs in Washington actually figure out how to pull us out of THIS load.
But I digress... Awesome game, and most (if not all) of the music is available on iTunes in various iMixes.
Dude, I actually had a Gamegear way back when! That thing used up so much juice, every time I took it in the car, we'd have to bring a brand new 8 pack of AAs!
Man, I miss the good old days when we could actually look forward to a Sonic game without there being any doubt that it would be good, and we would be RIGHT. Hope this one breaks the 10 year cycle of crap and is actually good. Who knows, Sonic could make a comeback if they get the right developers behind the wheel. We can only hope though...
Awesome vids, but I'm with Defguru7777. It'd be really cool if we could download y'all's vids to put on WMP, iTunes, etc. Keep up the good work this next year!
