Oh, wasn't the Doom movie based on Doom4? And Mortal Kombat1 was deemed good mainly because it was compared to StreetFighter which sucked all over. Seeing how, back then, those were the two biggest fighting games, it was about which movie would be most 'faithful'. Mortal Kombat won out because it was darker, it had better action sequences, characters were fairly faithful and the story was better. |

I remember when MK2 came out. Saw it in theaters. Everyone thought the writers (and director) were on crack for that animality scene. Sub-zero's entrance was, let's face it, bizarre. Still, it was nice to look at Kitana and Sonya. Being a casual gamer, I wouldn't have recognized the relation between movie and game. Far Cry in particular. I wonder how many times that has shown up on SYFY. |

I thought the PS1 was more defined by Final Fantasy7 or Gran Turismo. PS2 was Gran Turismo again (these are just my assumptions). Xbox = Halo (?) N64 = GoldenEye (?) That's how I always thought of things. |

I get this strange sense that the WII really is a kiddy-oriented console. Wasn't it last year people wanted more adult games? So Nintendo does it and it flops? Bummer. |

Thanks for the pros/cons. I'm not interested in one myself. I just got mine... Well, it's been almost 2 years now and I'm quite happy with my Darth Vader version. (ok, wish it were black w/ i dunno, a different screen thingy). My own complaint w/ the psp remains that you can't play it under natural light. |

Uh, the screenshot from SegaSega (1st game) has the babilicious yet dead Nei from Phantasy Star2. Rika from Phantasy Star4 looked a lot like her but wasn't her. And for those that played the PSO/PS-Whatever games, them's numans tho they weren't called anything specific back then. |

I got one when it was in cheapo mode and that was for PSO. I never did play online, just solo'd it and had fun. I don't know what to think of the DC. I guess it was fine. I loved the Genesis and I did enjoy my Saturn. I believe the Saturn had the ultra cool rpg Dragon Force game. NOw... back to the DC. Wasn't there a game called Enemy Zero? It was an human vs alien game not unlike, I dunno, Dead Space. BUt this article was talking about creative endeavors and THIS game was dependent on sound. So you had to pay attention to where the sounds were coming from to know wher eht alien would be coming from. Wasnt' a big hit, but it creeped me out! |

I am so there. I'm so glad that they dropped the price. Now this is far more realistic for my pathetic budget. Maybe I WILL be able to play FF13 when it comes out! And I better start buying BluRay movies instead of dvds now. Hmmmmm... :D |

oh hey. i'm confused. there's a listing for 2 voice actors for Rikku. I assume that Marika Matsumoto is the Japanese dub and Tara Strong was for US? And I'll still take Rachel Leigh Cook anyday. |

I love this game. I'm not very far and I keep spending my pang on probably the wrong stuff. But it's so fun! and cute! And it seems a little more fair than Hot Shots Golf : Open Tee2 in that the aztecs (balls) won't go all crazy during your short game. Gotta love the opening story when the girl gets taken away. "You were watching me sleep???" |

I'm jiggy w/ my PSP now. Yeah, it is HELL to hold for long periods of time but I'm a mark for PHYSICAL content. I HATE downloaded content because I'm sure we ALL know that downloads can go to crap and you just wasted, what? 99 cents to $15? No. Give us UMD or something swell. |

Was Full Throttle the game where the dude sez funny things like, "I wouldn't put my lips on that..."? Fantasvision. Just bought it for $4. I enjoyed Auto Modellista. Very cool look tho cel-shaded got dissed pretty hard. Seaman and Ka! I had forgotten all about those! Chakan needs a sequel? Are you joking? I didn't think it was all that but uh, ok. Chaos Legion was kinda fun, but I had no idea what I was doing. Burning Rangers. I never played it but I heard it was cool all those years ago! Dragon Force is one of my fave games of all time! I didn't port the sequel but man... AND thank you for mention Legend of Dragoon. I LOVED that game. I emailed Sony back when about a sequel and they said, "it's just not in the works". That was maybe a year after it was released. :( I may NOT agree with all of the choices that needs sequels but what I've listed are pretty much what I'd be interested in. |

I'm ok with the game. I mean, if you didn't play Phantasy Star Online, well, this is really just an extension of that, imo. But if you are pretty old skool and that you wanted something like PS2 or PS4 or those originals, I think that era is long gone. I'm sure PSO wasn't everyone's cup of tea. It wasn't mine tho I did play thru both of 'em and even got the artbook sitting around. To me, THIS is what Phantasy Star is now. True, it's very wordy and your NPCs are pretty lame in the fight. I didn't think the voice acting was overly horrible. At least you can understand what they are saying. Like I said, you played PSO, then you know exactly what to expect. PSU, I wouldn't know. |

It would seem to me that MS shelling out $$$ for exclusives makese sense. GR might hate it, but that needs to happen to separate the consoles. Isn't that how Sony got big with the PSX? By having games that was only for it and couldn't be played on the Sega DC? Sony needs to step up and have the 3rd parties get in on the act. Sure, Sony's got great games and all... I dunno, maybe it's a typ of business strategy. Rely on 3rd party or buy up 3rd parties to produce. Hmmmmm.... |

I always kinda thought that casual games were ones you could pick up w/o ANY learning curve (pacman, space invaders) to games you can just pick up and play a few rounds and be done (fighting games, old platformers). But I guess the definition has changed. I hate to support Nintendo in some of their odd 'game' decisions, but I figure, they are trying to make the DS a multi-functional device or at least, make it an educational toy moreso than what the PSP could be. Let's face it, the consoles and handhelds (and even phones) want to be more than they are. The PS3 as a central entertainment hub doesn't mention games at the forefront. The WII was like... A game console but it lacks the games to make it ultra cool (imo). |

I enjoyed the Undergrounds. I enjoyed Most Wanted. I didn't care for Carbon, Pro Street and whatever the last one was called. It's about time NFS got changed up but THESE screenshots look like it's gonna be ProStreet again. ie; pro races as opposed to the more fun 'race-around-the-city/county' type stuff. I hope they can mix it up. Where it's still race-around-the-city and get SOME events where you race in a pro-like league. |

I REALLY enjoyed this article. I had no idea he had such a history. Sure, I just played thru some of the SF2 games, an Alpha here and there, SF vs X-Men... I remember first time I 'met' Dan, I thought he was Ryu/Ken knockoff. His fireball sucked! Reading all this. I'm not sure what GamesRadar is doing here. Great article but it feels like an ad to go buy and play ALL the games that were referenced! |
