Overall I'm enjoying this game! Some minor disappointments from a series fan, though, not mentioned in the review. 1. The music is very upbeat and in-your-face almost all of the time. I prefer background mood music that fits with the setting, as in most areas of Symphony of the Night. 2. I do like getting out of the castle, but the overhead map used to "jump" from area to area takes me out of the environment repeatedly. I prefer a more seamless adventure, where I actually travel from place to place (teleporters and paintings are okay, because they're placed in the environment). 3. Surprising lack of choice in equipment. There seems to be only about 10 functionally different weapons, about that many spells, and a handful of unique armor items. This really cuts down on character customizability and reduces the attraction of searching for hidden items. I found many, but none that I actually wanted to use. Previous games introduced more unique armor items and lots of weaponry or spells to choose from.
