@Tariqwahab; man i wish i was playing max payne for the first time all over again. awesome games. get to playing. hope R* keep pain pills in the game, wish developers would stop wrapping us in cotton wool with regenerating health in cover bollocks. I blame Sony and the atrocious Getaway.
Awesome. MK2 was my favourite. I have many fond memories of this gem. I always wondered about the symbols too but realised it relates to round won. one dragon symbol per round, one MK symbol = ten dragon symbols. problem being the screen can't always display all the symbols.
At least LA Noires characters and acting looks believable. Heavy Rain, despite being a decent 'game', didnt look half as good. Sour grapes here methinks. What are R* supposed to do? wait for someone else to advance technology first? Ludicrous comments.
Is that fucking Spud? some games from yester year are classics and can often be taken out and enjoyed as much today as they were when they were new. others deserve to be kept locked away and never allowed to see the light of day again.
Fantastic preview. My biggest gripe with B&W was not being able to dick around as much as I'd have liked. Glad to hear this will give you that freedom. Any opinions on how it handles on consoles, Dave?
Not so much a gameplay design flaw as it is a huge fucking error on developers parts but if it's commonplace to be using wireless controllers these days why do games not automatically pause if the batteries run dry? looking at you AC:Brotherhood and MassEffect2. It defies belief really.
Not to piss on anyones chips but this came across more like the "amazing fails of GamesRadar and friends". Sorry fellas but I was no where near to belly-laughing through either video. I'm not even sure I cracked a smile that many times. I have a soft spot for Spiderman 'toons of yester-year. And to be honest, when you're fighting guys dressed up in Rhino unitards and goldfish bowls it makes sense to use stupid sound effects. Remember these were cartoons for us as children and not in any way intended for our consumption as adults. If Chris Nolan has taught the world one invaluable lesson it's this: For superhero franchises to genuinely work in this day and age they must be grounded in reality. None of your daft-as-a-brush GreenGoblin/DocOc (what a rediculous name) malarkey with ever escalating levels of ridiculousness.
What bollocks. M$ won't be recinding anything. If they do they set a precedent and refund any money it's open season on anyone who buys something over XBL and then decides they don't want it. Their purchase policy clearly states "no refunds". If he didn't read it and/or understand it then TOUGH SHIT! Stupid woman giving her son her credit card details deserves everything she gets (a third job perhaps?)
There's a terrible piece of editing in Burnout Paradise. Faith No More's most recognised track, Epic, has been chopped and rehashed abonimably, with a line from the first verse repeated twice, once in place of the rediculously offsensive lyric "lay down on it and do it some more". I guess a total disregard of the highway code is enough for Criterion and EA
I was half expecting a retrospective 'life bars through the ages' but was pleasantly surprised by this. yes; dead space's life bar works brilliantly. yes; Zelda's is the most iconic (and the most annoying) although I am more partial to Doom's. i have but two questions please GR 1. how about No More Heroes takes on the heart meter? 2. can we have more boobz please? that has to be the most innovative way to display health - by having to look at your own ample rack.
Good to see some new (old) blood being injected into a stagnating genre. I remember playing the first NFS on PC and it was fantastic, especially evading spike strips. i may well have to grab this after growing bored of Forza's realism.
But where the fuck are Duck Tales and Batman (NES) ?
For shame GR.
