Seabread commented on: Portal 2: The 10 things you NEED to know |
| awesome, sounds like valve aren't doing the typical sequel trick of 'more of the same' and forgetting to put anything new and exciting in there. Portal was by far and away the best game in the Orange Box. pleased it's getting it's own stand-alone game. it deserves the attention and care. don't even mind if ep3 takes another 3 years now. my two fav's are getting the full on robot chubby valve attention - L4D and Portal. Thank you Valve. @AnonymouZ ... never played portal...isn't it just a puzzle game? (3dpuzzlegame to be exact) Yeah, Only the most awesomest puzzle game ever! |

Seabread commented on: PlayStation 3 (PS3): Does broadband speed hinder your online gaming? |
| I only really play games online with friends who live in the same region as me so we don't notice any lag between ourselves. My L4D status bar always shows up as orange/2 bars while my friends always show up as green/3 bars but there's never any noticable difference. I pay for 4MB broadband thru Virgin but moved to a fibre-optic-free area so have to use ADSL thru BT landline. I miss my fibre optic shit hot connection. | |

Seabread commented on: Heavy Rain's BIG plot-holes |
| @crumbdunky well, seems like this article has pushed someone's buttons. take a pill. I really don't see what your problem is. the game is evidently full of plot holes. it's admirable that QD have tried to do something new but they've failed. if you're going to develop a game that has minimal input in terms of controls you can't have a flawed story arch as that's what the emphasis is then placed upon. re-read the article - especially the opening paragraph. here: "...sweep aside the surface gloss of stunning looks and moving score and Heavy Rain’s plot is a shambles.... A game whose sole purpose is serious storytelling is a very different fish to the likes of Gears of War, and crap storytelling here is like a CoD game with crap shooting mechanics. A CoD game which claimed to change shooting mechanics for the better." also take a look at previous GR articles like "Modern Warfare 2's plot holes" and you'll see it's not just HR that's come in for flak. at least you actually get to 'play' MW unlike the pitiful excuse for QTE's that HR employs. i have to agree with skyguy343 except i'd prefer it if you didn't go to ign in case i run into you there. go to gamespot instead. they'd love you over there. I bet you're a Jeff hater too! |

Seabread commented on: Are yearly updates really worth it? |
| I've taken a stand in recent years and stopped buying annual iterations based (mostly) on the same 'facts' you've laid out here - FIFA being the main culprit. ok, EA have added some nice new things this year but i'd much rather have just had a live season update to keep my squads up to date. and even if this is available i couldn't use it properly 'cos they've shut down servers and i can't seem to play any of my friends online anymore. i'd even go as far as to update the squads myself (which i have done on more than one occasion) but it messes up the game eg. a suspended player in be-a-pro mode won't be available for selection again until the NEXT season. what gives? |

Seabread commented on: God of War Collection (PS3): God of War Collection |
| Finally, a game for PS3 i want to own. Will be getting this as soon as it comes out in UK. Once again I'm very aggrieved that we're left to wait while the rest of the gaming world plays. Apparently Chains of Olympus would've required a severe change in code, unlike this ps2-ps3 port. I had hoped this would be bundled in with a collector's edition of GoW3. |

Seabread commented on: Xbox 360 (Xbox 360): Video: What happens when a girl smashes a 360... |
| hmm, she "bitches and bitches" and wonder why he doesn't change his routine? i'd have thought that was fairly obvious! she's tired of being bored? she should get herself a hobby other than having her knickers round her ankles, harlet! her fella has a hobby, why does she have to have all the attention? i hate needy bitches who think they're the be-all-an-end-all. she ain't that hot, if hot at all. i'd have thrown her through the plate glass window for fucking with my console, the moronic tit. she could have at least saved herself some energy (and the obvious enbarassment that comes with showing how feeble she is) by just continuing to drop the xbox, not tap-tap-taparoo the damn thing! and is it just me or is she laughing nervously when she shows him what she's done like he's might go thermo-nuclear and tear her apart? |

| got 'em all and only play my 360. L4D2 has no equal and the pad is much friendlier (no-one uses d-pad anymore so what does it matter where it is?) the wii gets a look in every now and then what with HotD:Overkill, Resi4, DS:Extraction, NoMoreHeroes all being excellent games. PS3 just collects dust and still has no games (sorry GR but it doesn't) until this list's "future" titles become present day ones. MGS is more of a film, i buy a game to play and interact, not sit back and watch 80 minutes of cutscenes in the first 2 hours of playing (including 30 mins installation time - wtf?!) Uncharted games are the only ones that could see me buy a game for ps3 as LBP, R&C are kids games and there are enough generic shooters out there that KZ2 can be discounted, plus everyone is playing MW2 now surely? and i have that..... on xbox! |
