The Top 7... Ballsiest facets of Modern Warfare 2
Wow, I agree with the author until the last part. It seems to me like hypocrisy. Blasting civilians is balls to the wall awesome but dear lord use an offensive acronym and we need PC stormtroopers on the double to stop such nonsense.

His reaction was blown way out of proportion especially considering the other controversies. Since when is mowing down civilians simply fun and a suggestive acronym unacceptable?

I sure had my fingers crossed for this game. It s nice to see that thopse of us who stuck by nintendo havent been abandoned entirely. I died a little on the inside when i heard about the pulse monitor.

This game kept another part of me from dying and my wii from going on ebay or something.

This game is truly great. It shows exactly what wii-ware can provide. Absolutely worth the price. I wish all wii-ware titles were as well done as this. The other developers should take notice to see how it should be done.

I personally think number 3 is the most irritating. I always get a little annoyed when supposed "moral" decisions are based on shallow interpretations of morality. Like the "good" decision being just plain silly or naive.

Or simply forcing your character to have to help or not help a certain character. Why do I have to fight the super bad guy? I wanna ask him for an application :)

Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii): Metroid Prime Trilogy is a reality
Truthfully the new play control feature seems nothing more then a stupid gimmick most of the time. I wish they would actually give us new games that utilize the new controls then simply refurbishing a game I dont care to play again. (Except maybe Duke Nukem 64 :)
)

But this particular set is something i will probably pick up. Metroid Prime was a brilliant series. I never got to play 2 and getting all three with visual updates and wii controls for the other two sounds like a good deal. It actually makes this worth it.

In my opinion Halo was vastly overrated. Not at all as exceptional as fan boys like to think it was. I dont have and never will get call of duty or most games people think is better so I dont particularly care of the comparison.

I think this game is going to be great. Just what the wii needs these days. PS3 may have greater graphics but I spent half as much money and still got plenty of fun out of my console.

Haha really funny article the pictures were fanatastic and clever.

One thing i noticed was that securing your helmet is actually a mistake. Soldiers dont do that they keep the straps open. The helemt is secured in non combat dress situations only. A helmet with the strap on can decapitate you if something explodes or hits the helmet near you. Strap on means head flies off with helemt strap off mean helmet flies off with head still attached :)

I hope this game does great. Even if I never actually play it. Mainly just to spite all the whiners and people bitching about this game. Hurray for free speech. Boo for people who want to censor and sanitize anything they dont feel comfortable with.

Realism in war games can only mean good things. Maybe then 12 years olds wont think war is pressing the a button faster then your opponent or pulling combos. War is hell.

Good to see games made for people with actual maturity past pre-pubescence

I find it od people are annoyed by complaints of the game that are thought through. This is how capitalism works people. Games cost money if the game isnt worth the money or doesn't do what people want it wont sell. Consumers have the right to dictate what goes into their products especially if they pay for them when they could spend the money elsewhere. We may not be the owners of the license or involved directly in its creation but game developers would be homeless without our money.

It may be a fun game but it isnt resident evil if it doesnt actually follow the survival horror genre. If i wanted merely a fun game instead of a resident evil game their are many alternatives unless you have unlimited income.

Hehe I wondered if the author didnt take high school math before I read the explanation. I cant really see how i would find the voice activation interesting if the game itself is somewhat shallow.

I wouldnt feel immersed in the battle and feel like a field commander. I would feel like a fat 12 year old who fantasizes about war and yet knows nothing about it nor will probably ever experience it except on tv or geekspeak about klingon capabilities in battle.

Although if the game was decidely more involved and in depth i can see how voice commands if implemented correctly would be useful. Although i dont think i could stand calling units "Alpha", Bravo or Tango whatever.

Hmm i find this extremely dissapointing. Survival Horror is the whole point of the series and why I fell in love with it in the first place. Not only is it not on a console I have it seems I wouldn't spend money on it anyways considering my limited income and far higher priorities. I see no reason to play a series if the series is simply the same engine and not much else for similarities.

If I wanted action packed shooters or something I would get something else, not RE games.

The changing faces of the big three
Maybe somebody should merge these companies. Hardware specs of the ps3 without the elitist crap and outrageous price. Innovation of the wii and controller without the bucketloads of "family" crap fests and shovelware. Good licenses and good games overall of the 360 without microsofts license based fascism.

Seems to me each of these 3 companies screwed up or headed in a wrong direction. The wii went ina good direction and then crashed into a wall of terrible games and "casual" BS. Sony doesnt seem to understand that a 600 dollar console makes it out of reach for many people no matter how good it is. They apparently havent learned their lesson that the most expensive top of the line product frequently loses out to the slightly lower quality product set at a reasonable price. Microsoft seems to have started to wake up from their previous mistakes at least and are turning around (hopefully).

Only time will tell how this is going to turn around. My bet is that the wii is going to sharply decline as all the fans leave feeling abandoned by nintendo and everyone else will be distracted by the next fad and the hype of the wii disappears. Sony needs to realize that catering only to those with large amounts of disposable income in this type of business is frequently a losing strategy. Hardcore only means only hardcore players will buy your product and they dont provide enough business to keep you afloat in electronics.

I think this game should have gotten a higher score like a seven. OF course it isnt Half life like quality but its also a fifth the price when games like that came out. IT doesn exactly what its supposed to do offer arcade like fun on the wii. This is what wiiware should be does it have flaws? yes it does but compare it to the loads of crap out on wii ware and it shines in comparison.

Fact is ten bucks is a steal for this game plenty of fun while it lasts and moderate replayability makes it more then worth the price.

Bizarre size screw-ups in games
I have experience in CAD (computer aided design) programs (like AutoCAD for example) and i can tell you these are amateur mistakes unless they were technically unavoidable (not in this day and age though). Its pretty funny to see this as it shows how Technical drafters and game design Modelers or animators really need to meet together. These scale issues are beginner issues for drafters so you can tell modelers and animators need some technical know how and scaling or technical visualization skills to enhance their skills.

I cant wait to show my friend at school in the drafting program and see what he thinks hehe.

Hmm sounds quite promising. I for one am tired of the numerous and almost indistinguishable fantasy MMOs and RPGs.

Sci-fi is a much better genre in my opinion. Nobody is going to be a wizard but cybernetics and space travel are not unrealistic or impossible at all. I just hope it isnt dumbed down to much to be a twicth game like many FPSs. Tactical and strategic thinking should be mandatory.

On a side note how is a wrestling game good news in any fashion? I would almost prefer to play babiez and poniez at least i would feel more manly then.
