At no point in the statement does it confirm that San Fierro and Las Venturas are not in the game. I hope they are, and I'm hoping R* release trailers for both cities over the coming months, you know, like suprise reveals.

There was a train in GTA3 and San Andreas. In fact, you could steal the train in San Andreas, so GTA4 was a step back in that aspect.

Gta4 came out in April I believe, not October, so I don't think there's a link.

Predicting that smarter AI will bring about the fall of mankind and the rise of the machines is an interesting, if slightly far fetched idea. One could say that, if the AI is as smart as us, and we're constantly gunning it down in various environments, it'll wise up and take a stand, lock us into the game and force us to play the same bland levels over and over and over till our eyes melt. However, this all falls apart if it's merely a Kinect style jobby rather than VR where the player's actually IN the game.

Actually, I think it failed because they released a regular psp sans the disc drive for $249, which is essentially Sony saying "Our customers are probably retarded enough to buy this!" I love my PS3, but this was a seriously flawed product. Hope the NGP does better.
