I liked AC1 to an extent even if it was very repetitive. Enter AC2 I find it amazing, then comes AC brotherhood a year later which I was not considering until I read the reviews saying it had enough gameplay additions to stand on its own. The next year comes AC revelations which I figure will be brotherhood but with less heart, and brotherhood was AC2 with less heart itself. Now comes AC3 a year after that and I have to wonder. I think Activision has proved that you can't just keep releasing games every year, it just doesn't work. I want to like this game, but I can't help but think it will be another half baked yearly entry like the last two, I'd rather they put at least two years into development of the single player and go without AC for a little bit. It's better than a rushed year's work for a quick buck with a lot of that time going towards refining the MP.
I don't know, AC really seems to have lost what made it good, I'm worried that this is just called AC3 because they couldn't think of another subtitle. and one last thought, if the team has been working on this for three years, what time was spent on Revelations and Brotherhood?
Well I might as well put my opinion into this ring. I grew up a console gamer, and am still a console gamer. Just because I'm a console gamer doesn't mean I hate PC gaming though. I actually consider myself more of a hybrid gamer nowadays than anything. I have my xbox for most games, but then there are also all the lovely indie games and pc only games(which as far as I can tell are rare) which I play on Steam. But that's what I use my PC for, the indie games or the games that are kind of "out there" in premise that wouldn't make it on a console.
When it comes down to it I truly prefer my xbox to PC, there is just something about sitting down in a comfortable chair after a long day, in front of a big TV with controller in hand that's just relaxing and fun. With my PC I'm forced to play on my monitor which is obviously smaller than my TV, and the way I must operate a mouse and keyboard it just doesn't feel as laid back as sitting back with a controller.
that's just my opinion though, I'm not gonna use tech specs or anything because they will always be in PC's favor, but in terms of atmosphere when sitting down to enjoy a single player game, you can't beat a console IMO.
the way they all use the back touch pad makes it just seem awkward while playing a game, its almost like they AREN'T playing games! which is ridiculous because these are candid shots, they aren't posing
or is it Sega? not quite in an evil way but more of an opposite way, Nintendo has a beloved mascot which always sells well, Sega has a mascot run into the ground everyone feels sorry for, Nintendo has the best selling consoles, Sega doesn't make consoles anymore, and so on
I don't get it, Chicago is the third largest city in the US (close to second) yet nothing gaming related happens here (mostly) please Nintendo, LISTEN TO US AND COME HERE!
the expansion pak wasn't even a big deal because it was included with the game, DK64 is one of my favorites on the N64 but I always seem to be in the minority, I'm glad I'm not the only one with fond memories of that game
while all of these have valid arguments I am just wondering why the paper marios or Mario RPG don't count, I get you aren't doing any core games, but just because they aren't platformers doesn't make them any less core, well at least in my mind
I'm pretty sure that in the movies the way they get the beam to stop is by stopping it with the Force, so the only TRUE way we'll get a lightsaber is if we as a species realize within ourselves how to tap into the Force
the console version isn't nearly as expansive as the pc version (though this is the game you MUST play on a computer) there isn't a download client for mac OS that I've seen but you should still be able to play it in the browser until one is made
