Wow, Tropico 4sounds like a huge-ass step up from 3, which was already a great game. If they can keep all the weird communist overtones and really work hard to make the simming very expansive, this game could be something really great. |

Wow, they finally realized that other RPGs exist and decided to compete with them. A lot of the things they tout as huge features I found a bit unimpressive because I've done them in a lot of games before, but the game does look amazing. They've done nothing but good by moving away from Gamebryo. |

I really love FFII because it's so damn weird. It has ambition out the wazoo, I gotta say, but a lot of it really goes nowhere because leveling up each typed of weapon and each magic takes too long, and can be inconvenient, too. I have a level 7 cure, so that takes 7 MP, but I just have to heal 100 hp... |

Linking back to this from your new character battle just highlights how bad that one is. Where are the running jokes? Actual battles? The ability to care about what's going on? You pulled two jokes from that one in this one- notably the ending of the new one is like where Crash is introduced here (even to the point of basically saying "because no one cares otherwise) and there's a curb stomp joke in both. |

I've heard that playing through story mode and the challenge tower give pretty good training for most of the characters. Besides, for how much you complain about the training in SF4 and MvC3, is it really a problem they don't have one? |

Hmm... favorite starter... Bulbasaur gets points for being my first, of course, so I always attach a sense of loyalty to him that I don't really have with others, and the tree on his back is kind of awesome... Totodile is a great water type, but it stays as just water, even if it turns out looking like it can kill with a look. (Seriously, a Water Dark type would have been great for it). Mudkip is a great Pokemon, evolves into the strong Swampert, and has a great typing, too. Plus, it's just so adorable. Turtwig is nearly forgotten by people, but he's a great one, and I like his "world turtle" design. He just seems to be harboring a really badass nature, saying "I may be slow, but I have a tree on my back." And then Tepig, my only fire starter. His design isa bit bland but he turns out so strong and was such a help in so many parts of the game... So I'm actually going to go with Turtwig, because his Ground/Grass type was kind of weird but also rather powerful, with very few weaknesses. Plus, again, that tree on his back... there's something so cool about it to me when he evolves all the way. |

Glad to see a god compendium of your best articles, and glad to see my quote up there! I want to thank you, of course, for all these years of entertainment you've given me. I found myself here one day because of Cheat Planet, and I can't remember what it was that made me read an article, but I had Top 7 on the brain for years, and it caused me to find the site again a few months. And I just kept coming back, and I'm almost never disappointed. Thanks for 5 years, guys. |

I'm a bit bummed that Metroid Prime couldn't make this, since it's such an amazing experience and does everything Super Metroid does, but in 3D, but I know there are people who aren't as fond of it and would fight it off for something like Super. I wish there was more of an explanation for why there was no prime though... Also, I hate Chrono Trigger. Seeing it rank at #3 is such an eye-rolling bother to me. |

Wow, that assessment of Killer7 is unfair. As someone who's currently playing through it, the controls aren't terrible, they're just strange, and the combat is actually very good and has a strange amount of strategy and timing in it. If you just go through as Mask de Smith it'll seem like garbage, but going through as Dan or Coyote gives you the ability to strategically dismember enemies for their blood before offing them in their weak spot for more. Though the puzzles are kinda lame. By the way, I'll be counting the use of the word "nuance" in here. I feel like I've seen it a lot and I'm only on 91. |

I used to look it up. Actually, I used to buy strategy guides for every Pokemon game until I lost the one that I got for Ruby and Sapphire. That's the first time that I didn't fight the Elite Four with a team specially made for them, and it's also the first time I just went with my favourite Pokemon of types so that almost everything was covered- except maybe Dark, but come on, like I need something strong against those. So now, I just get a team that covers everything, get to the Elite Four with them at about level 50, save before I battle them, then buy 50 Full Restores and power my ass through. THAT'S HOW WINNERS DO IT |
