Does this game require the original fable or is this fable + more content ?

well to be honest it sounds like only the gamesradar reviewer and BIGBADBESTWICK have actually played this game. I personally also like this game so far. I would definately say the rating is probably appropriate and that the GR reviewer was honest, but more focused on praising the flaws. If you liked it before, TRY IT. I had never even heard of or seen this game before buying it. (was out of the mix and getting back into my xbox now that i have an hdtv :P)

If any downfalls to this game it is this, when i had bought it a week ago i had a 30" regular old tv. The words were hard to read in menus and anything outside of ingame communicating. And 2 days ago I bought a 32" samsung class c 720p hdtv and the game is alot better to see. But I had alot of issues reading prior to it.

I bought this game and then infinite discovery a day or so after. If you've been around the final fantasy series at all, it really isn't that complicated during battles. I do agree on the loading times BUT that is worth the sacrifice for what is a fun game.

@LawlingLobstaFTW I assume you're being sarcastic, so did you not notice the large "SPOILERS AHEAD" graphic with bold exclamation points at the very beginning of the article?

LOL @ Brooks comments. I take it you all read the first paragraph. Yes, I'm not that into them. Sue me.

Haha, no, you're completely entitled to your opinion. It divided the office a little too - I was more critical than most.

A whiny fanboy, me? That's a first! I think I explain well enough how the combat and co-op are entertaining enough to make it a solid, fun game, which deserves to be called "great," but that I didn't find it mind-blowingly compelling. lol lets flam war.

"Hmm. Being an Australian gamer, I would have rather you said the Australian Government is backwards, not Australia."

Hyperbole for comedic effect. ;) I also believe that the US is incredibly backwards in many areas. In fact, I think we're full of stupid over here. No offense intended.

Hm, well, I didn't notice any balance issues. I was playing at level one, with the people who made the game, and I still came in second on a couple matches. We will see when we get to play it more comprehensively, for the review (which I'm too much of a fanboy to write).

@Blackout1881: Sort of, but not really. Yes, the basic gameplay is the same - it should be, because it was already good. There are many new strategies and techniques which the additions make possible. Completely changing the gameplay would have been silly.

You'd probably die, for sure, but you may have enough in you to turn around and fire a few rounds into your stabber. The amount of damage inflicted by a single stab wouldn't necessarily put you out immediately.
