I just wish they would release all the DLC in a disc... This is AWESOME and I can't connect my 360 to the 'net :( Please, R*, make it happen - DLC on a disc! I'll pay the price for that, even if there's only one single-player DLC!
These are real women (and I spotted at least one asian girl! yay!), gentlemen. I'm sick of today's standards for "sexy", as some of you mentioned... People portray broomstick-skinny women as "sexy" and "healthy" and women with more curves are portrayed as "fat"... For those of you who thinks about being a father someday: do you feel safe when realizing what our society will try to put in our daughters' heads as what they "should" be? Yup...Think about it.
WTF with the song. No, please, this is not MK material. Bring back the old themes in new versions or something, but leave this kind of thing off of the game.
And it's not the band or a matter of taste... It's just that this kind of thing really doesn't fit MK. An action game, yes, but not MK and its glorious soundtrack history.
You're telling me the game didn't excel at anything else???
I thought that game was amazing. Who cares about the graphics... The game itself is pretty good if you only put some time in it. Collecting swords, following different paths, etc, etc. It's a great game.
The guy wasn't even really playing the Star Wars game. C'mon, at least show the real deal if you're trying to market your product. Or get a better actor, I guess.
The problem, is when you're using cheap stereotypes like the american imperialist who everybody hates and the evil asian who's trying to dominate everyone and now goes to fight the hero America, the imperialism (just because all asians hate America, right? Right?). Plus, I also think it's wrong to make games based on WWII. It's history, let it go instead of creating games where you need to exterminate evil german and evil japanese or something. How can someone think it's nice to play a game based on something TERRIBLE as WWII is beyond me.
@infestedandy: the problem is that the intention is different. This is not meant to be a Madden-sim-even-to-ridiculous-details thing. It would be fair if they were both trying to do the same thing, but they're not, at least that's how I see it (and other people, who are complaining about the same thing I did). It's like comparing Smackdown vs. Raw to this new game announced, WWE All-Stars. Can you REALLY compare both and say wich one is better since they're aiming at different things? IMO, no way. A friend of mine who has the game is enjoying both and that's what I'm trying to point out here.
I hope you don't get me wrong and understand what I'm saying. I think people should be less Madden-biased, that's all. Some people take reviews as the Bible and that's why I think they (reviews) should try to see things from different angles. Saying it's "not as good and people should know about it" is exactly what is proving my point.
The new game probably will follow this style... They said long ago that Armageddon would be the last one of the "old series" and that there would be a reboot after it.
Matt Cundy said: "Justified?: My instinct says absolutely no way. It's just lines and whiteness. To my brain it's very basic. But the swan analogy is so beautiful, I think it should be believed. So let's believe it."
So, basically, you have no doubt that Call of Duty is pushing limits just because you love it, but you don't believe Echochrome is doing it (without the analogy) just because it's lines and whiteness? Ok...
