About Me
Right, where to start... erm. May as well just introduce myself.
I'm Mercury's Phoenix: twenty years old, born in Hull and a raving homosexual. A prospective games journalist, although I'll be coming through the back door, sir. See, I was at university but it didn't work out. The Journalism course at Sheffield - ten percent useful practical study, ninty percent unbearably dull academic media bullshit. Just wasn't willing to waste three years of my life studying to get somewhere, only to come out with my cap and gown feeling none the wiser. There are other ways and I'll prove it.
But enough about that - bit of trivia:
My favourite colour is yellow. My starsign is Taurus (yes, I'm a fucking bull). When I was eight, a wasp stung me in the eye and I looked like Quasimodo for three days. My favourite meal is Chilli Con Carne, but only with sour cream and tortillas on the side. Couldn't give a shit about politics. If I were forced to get with a woman, I'd choose Bree from Desperate Housewives. Honesty is my best trait, selfishness is my worst. I hate arrogance. I'm a sucker for a skinny, long haired, tight jean wearing rocker guy. Freddie Mercury is my idol. Ah, that'll do.
But the thread that connects us all, dear GamesRadar readers, is games. The one interest we all share.
I've played games since I was four years old, starting with the Commadore 64. Still have it today, although it barely works. Some real classics in there - Altered Beast, Double Dragon. Oh, and Flimbo's Quest! I loved Flimbo's Quest. Anyone else have a Commadore 64?
From there, it was the Megadrive all the way through to the 360 sitting to the right of me. A few mistakes along the way, mind: the GameGear which is the size of the Oxford fucking dictionary and the Sega Saturn which barely lasted three weeks. Still, some good memories.
Actually, this is getting too long. Guess it can wait for some other time.
Thanks for reading.
