/sigh October 13th is going to be great. BrĂ¼tal Legend and Uncharted 2 - too much awesome in one day. I'm going to have to rip through Uncharted 2 first though.
Good to hear reassurances that it will have no supernatural elements. I love his writing. Another game that I'll have to pick up Q1... Damn everything getting pushed.
Oh, you're treading dangerous ground here with the love of my life... of course, I mean Chrono Trigger.
The game responsible for my, now, very high standards when it comes to games. Beyond the fact that it was cleverly written, executed perfectly and had more endings than there are days in a week helped massively. The music is probably the best I've heard to date though Shadow of the Colossus came extremely close.
Chrono Trigger is a game I play often, very often and now that its on DS you can place a safe bet that I play it even more often. It's the one game I can never get tired of, ever.
I just figured the few PC titles weren't worth mentioning since they're already dirt cheap, and were pretty much ignored by retailers across the board.
Plus, I was trying to weigh the overall value all of the discounts:
-$30 Console game > -$5 PC game
@KillDrone That's why the contest is only asking you to reflect on the good times you had with the series.
Hell, send a screenshot of your favorite level, if you like.
@Hunter2458 It is compatible with the game of "Life" There's even a warning sticker asking you to "Please skate within your abilities on the other side
Bear in mind that 7 is still "good," and I certainly don't think this is bad game. But as a lifelong Mario fan, I don't see how anyone could consider this better, let alone on par with SMB3, Mario World, SM64 or Galaxy.
I wondered the same thing, then I realized that 3D World is also published by Future. Sometimes we all share content like this just to show what else we have out there.
For example - I didn't even know we HAD a 3D magazine until now.
I wish I could be cooler about this, but yes, I'm pants-shittingly excited about this game! And even though David mentioned it, I'd still like to submit this as my personal 12th reason:
Replaying missions is a first on PSP and all Sony platforms, so it's worth saying in that way. But yes, that was a feature on DS as well.
Cyberninja: Yep, I think it's better on DS, having spent tons of time with both I feel I can say that easily. However, if you didn't play the DS one, this is absolutely worth trying.
@John-117 That's fair. Sorry if I gave the impression that I don't find Gran Turismo to be a grand technical feat, cause I really, really do. It's just one that's been repeated 5 times, and I'm starting get a little bored with it.
Admittedly, I was intentionally prodding Turismo fans, but competition like Forza will only produce better games from both sides in in the future, right? So there's really no reason to hate on either other than shits and gigs.
Besides, didn't the fanboys read the part where I said Turismo looked better?
I suppose I should clarify that I don't give a shit about licensed cars. Cosmetically, anyway. I like to race, and I'm starting to feel that Gran Turismo has been skating by on it's legacy and licenses for a while now (see scores for PSP version.) Thus I addressed the "gameplay" - weird, huh - of which I've always felt was carried out better by Forza.
How many cars do you use anyway? 99.9% of gamers haven't driven 99.99999% of the vehicles in the game. We could argue forever about which Lotus/Ferrari/Dodge Neon handles more authentically, but sooner or later, aren't we really just taking their word for it?
Turismo is notoriously unforgiving, and while its fans wear that as a badge of honor, I find it annoying. Forza 3 let's me tackle stuff at any difficulty I want, whenever I want. And you don't need a fanboy to tell you that the online community is better because any naysayer is probably a PS3 owner and well... you've taken that thing online, right?
