7 games that gave you the best weapon right away
Just to expand on that point. My Halo2 game was based entirely around effective distance. I was great at sniping. I was also good up close if I had a weapon combo of Covenant and Human. I preferred the human pistol with the plasma rifle. Assuming I held my reticule at head height, I would stay in an area that was confined by a lot of corners. Then I would just run a circuit, headshotting whoever I came across. I feel it was a big misconception that the human pistol in Halo2 was nerfed or inadequate. Thank you for your time.

I actually liked the pistol in Halo2 best. It could be fired faster than in any other game and when combined with a plasma rifle or plasma pistol could kill a guy almost immediately if the trigger was pulled quick enough.

55 things we hate about our favorite games
Alright, alright, before anything else is said I must state that in B.Bad Company 2 the M95 with the spotting scope and 12x zoom is NOT cheap. I actually preferred the Sniper Magnum with 8x zoom and Magnum ammo. The spotting scope never worked as well as my own two eyes (even if I just jammed on the "back" button hoping to highlight enemies I hadn't visually spotted). Also that pic is of Bad Company 2, I think, and BC1.

The Top 7... Things we hate about modern gaming
@Errrrbo, How come nobody seems to address the issue of gamesites sucking up to publishing companies? I've heard talk of various sites swaying review scores based on exactly that, ithey don't get pre-release copies or advertising otherwise. It's hard to trust most sites for that reason. And I definitely agree about Dragon Age 2. I loved the first game but DA2 had next to no main story. It was just a hub of side quests. Boring. Haven't even finished it (30 hours in).

Game-culture shit we're sick of constantly hearing about
You know what's just as annoying as anything on this list? Those damn pull down ads that cover the screen and lag the crap out of a website. This is the new gamesite thing and it's terrible.

Hmm, nice article. But, Doug... Can you please make another Earthworm Jim game?

Famous game characters versus their voice actors
lol, fail on all accounts except the guy who voices Agent 47, he should have been in the movie. Then maybe there wouldn't have been any adolescent love scenes and more ass-kicking, as it should have been. Could have shown some pics of the Soul Reaver/Blood Omen actors. They don't look like what you'd expect.

10 ways to be an incredible team player in Bad Company 2
I stopped talking on Live because I either hear young teens spamming and talking nonsense or potheads that just rip on their team with no helpful or positive feedback. I think many guys in my age demographic (late twenties) don't even bother with the mic for these reasons. As to sniping, I agree that if done right it could be very useful. Tricky sniping can disrupt the opposing teams' flow. Say you have one stretch of land on lock-down, killing anybody who steps in front of you, they will start to use alternate routes to get to their objective. At which point you go secure another avenue. I've been in squads where we were moving from one flag to the next, always in control. Everybody knowing where to move, where to train their sights while capturing a flag, moving to the next one in unison. This is what you want to keep the opposing team from doing. I feel sniping is one way to wrest away control. Again, it's needs to be done responsibly.

Things you may have missed in the Gears of War 3 trailer
The trailers were always the best part of these games. They gave a feeling and emotion that wasn't present in the games themselves. After buying the first two Gears and ultimately not being satisfied, I think this one will be a rental.
