Hadn't played the Darkness until recently and I have to say it's an amazing game. Still holds up well 3 years down the line, I would urge anyone who hasn't played it to do so now. It'll be dirt cheap and you won't regret it. Dark as hell, great story and game play and genuinely unnerving. |

I was a little bit upset at first as I have always loved the Brothers in Arms franchise. Its clear that they are just using the BiA tag to generate interest. However someone made a comment about Battlefield Bad Company being a comedic departure from the established series and that turned out fine. At the end of the day though this is Gearbox and those guys can do whatever they want as far as I'm concerned. They've never let me down before and I don't think they'll let us down here. |

The vague amount of interest I have in this game stemmed from the fact that England is going to be one of the war zones. Although as someone has already said it will probably be a poxy hour or so tacked on to further the impenetrable plot. |

I loved Far Cry 2 one of my favourite games ever. As said though tweaks are needed. The enemy checkpoints and damage were irritating but not game breaking and there should have been more stuff to do in the ridiculously big game world.Mission variety needs expanding on and weapon customization is a must I think. The factions could do with some work as well, as siding with one or the other had no real significance as everyone was always out to kill you. Everything else was awesome though, easily one of the most immersive games ever. |

Supremely happy to hear this. Loved the first game spent hours with a mate a uni in the co-op mode. It was awesome, one of the few games to make a properly tense co-op experience. Probably a pre-order for me as soon as there is one available. |

The combat in the original condemned was pretty much all melee and was brutal, satisfying and shit your pants scary. If they can elaborate on that style of combat then this is a guaranteed winner, provided (as X528 says) that the co-op doesn't make this a walk in the park. Optimistic for this game now, which is a pretty big deal for me. |

@pudge That was the exact scene that came to mind when I read crap restart points. Getting nailed by the fucking torque bow and having to do that 5minute slog back up the hill and listen to the (intially amusing) exchange between Marcus and Dom over and over again. Christ that got old fast. |

@Risonhighmer The beat the game with no guns achievement was brilliant.The last section in the skyscraper is insane, if not totally frustrating. Actually making you play the game differently is what all achievements should do, rather than the shitty 'finished level one have 25g' achievements. |

With you all the way minelbp. Admittedly it's not the best online game ever made but MW2 isn't either and millions of people play that shit day in day out. It's pretty frantic at times but pretty much always feels fair. Considering that they're offering free dlc as well that really means you get 4 new maps, 4 retooled maps and 2 new game modes for 800 points. Yeah that's a total rip off. Saw loads of people whining on CVG yesterday you'd have thought an EA employee had pissed on their family on Christmas Day. Good or bad though I'm going to support any DICE developed product. They are the shit, quite simply, and with my hard earned they'll be less inclined to make Mirror's Edge 2. |

Sniping in BF:BC2 is definitely the most satisfying in any FPS involving just enough skill to make it easy enough but not over easy. Also the way you have to stop aiming to reload the bolt action is badass. Feels like the scene from Saving Private Ryan when he's in the church tower. Awesome I tells ya. |

I hope the rumor that Gearbox are working on this is an outright lie. The idea that a talented studio might actually be working on a game everyone stopped caring about a decade ago, (instead of a follow up to Borderlands or Aliens: Colonial Marines), is intensely worrying. @ JayBeat Give that man a donkey. I've been playing the demo and the visual style is quality but the shooting is feeble, the cover pretty irritating and Kane or Lynch, (I don't know which one you play as) handles like a turd. In multiplayer it takes an entire clip to knock an opponent down and then you have to reload to finish them off. All these things could well be tweaked before release but it needs some work. |

I really enjoyed the demo. Played all three species and managed to win with all three so the balance is pretty good i'd say. The alien is my favourite but has proved the hardest to win with for me. It was the marine I dominated with but that could have been the people I was playing against. |

To be honest they should probably have done something other than 'Best Game Ever'. Its been done to death by every game website out there, so the majority of gamers will already have seen any number of these things. A feature exploring the medium as a hobby, an art form etc would have been better, even bringing up the positive finacial aspects, especially with the current economic situation. Gaming is finally shedding this nerdy stereotype and having a big poll on favourite games ever is only going to drag it back up. |

I can aprrectiate that Chris Moyles is both popular and influential, what I don't understand is why. As for him being a gamer I wouldn't know, as you may have guessed I'm not the biggest fan of his show.
