Using a keyboard and mouse, just finished the game. The controls didnt feel as imprecise as everyone has been saying, there just very knacky, you really gotta get to know them to be able to pull off all the complex parkour.

My main gripe was the bosses, everything felt like a mini boss except elizabeth greene =|.

Even the final boss was just a revival of an earlier mini boss.

I hate this whole thing, it just seems crazy to me when you look at what we're being forced to buy as a sequel.

Nothing they have shown in the video is from a new engine, this is all stuff the community would be able to achieve with the SDK. Valve are making a monumental mistake.

The gameplay videos we have been shown look extremely poor and to a degree rather childish...

Ive heard an interview with Chet... a writer who wrote the story for the original left 4 dead (who cares... about... the story, with a game like left 4 dead? seriously)

Chet was saying things along the lines of "Yeah you know what we missed with left 4 dead 1? the chainsaw"

Left 4 dead does not... suit... melee weapons. Its a run and gun game, your always in motion, you should never be staying in one place to long... if i have the choice between a melee weapon that takes em out when they get close, or a pistol that has a perfectly functioning melee option that beats them back enough for me to run and then take any stragglers off at a distance i will choose that.

We already have pistols with infinite ammo with a fine melee. We dont. Need. Melee weapons..

How long was the whole hardcore fanbase of left 4 dead moaning about melee spamming? they finally fixed that with melee slowdown, pulling the focus away from meleeing to shooting and running...

What pray tell, is going to happen by introducing melee weapons? What a contradiction.

All of this focusing on the story more is making me queezy.. left 4 dead has become a fantastic competitive team based game, the updates they've been lavishing the game with have been labours of love that have perfectly balanced the game and made it a brilliant achievement in the world of multiplayer gaming...

Im sorry im just rather hurt by this whole ordeal, its taken me around a week since this was announced to get over it and i still just want to punch who ever thought of this garbage in the face. Or bludgeon them with there own god damn melee weapons.

Oh oh and.... Fire ammo?

What purpose does that serve, when we already have molotovs and cans that spread fire over a wide area igniting all of the zombie horde at once, and bullets that fell any normal zombie in a couple of shots anyway.

It just seems like Uwe Boll has taken over and he's butchering a sequel to a very important film, and of course he's just going to destroy everything the original had to offer.

It all reaks of a heinous lack of imagination, creativity, marketing knowledge, knowledge of the fanbase and how to improve an already what is deemed by the hardcore fanbase, a perfect multiplayer game.

2 things i dont understand about people who slate this game.

1 - They say its "4 Levels of gameplay" and that its around 4 hours of piddly gameplay.

Which is bullshit, they must be playing on normal or something because on expert it takes alot more effort to clear.

2 - People that say the team mates arent really that involved....

Again you must be playing on normal, and if your playing in versus you definately had the worst zombie team against you in the history of any online game.

Been waiting 2 years for this game to come out, with hopes that it would finally be what ZM mode in cs 1.6 and css was, and they gave us the whole fucking hog, its the mecca for the entire zombie community.

Its unfortunate they decided to ruin versus mode (at least for a while) by making versus mode locked to normal mode.

Normal mode is by far the shittiest mode for versus, survivors get like, 2 hp a hit from a zombie? 15 seconds for a hunter pounce before they need help?

Its pathetic really, i found me and alot of other people were ramping up the difficulty to Impossible (the one after expert).

Now THAT was serious fun.

Now the expert players and impossible whores just have to pray they update this update with another update.

Decent article mind you, F.E.A.R AI always creeped me out on the harder difficulties.

I have a good rig using the Antec 900, but i dont particularly reccommend the 900 if your going for a bit of a crazy powerful build, which i unfortunately did.

The space in it is incredibly deceptive, any psu above 600w you have to CRAM everything right in there. ;)
