Demons Souls 2 as a rock solid for sure announcement would be sweet, also I am looking forward to Dragon Age 3. I have seen some chants of MGS5, but we all know snakes story is done, and while I'd love more MGS to play, I dont see it happening, not as a true sequel anyway. |

@ChiefLethal Yeah, I know. It's not really meant to be a killer blow to these guys or what they do, but seriously bottom line here is they screwed around with their World of Warcraft accounts alot on someone else's dime, then let us know that it's not quite good enough for raiding yet, but I'm sure they're working hard at "researching" that as we speak. Seriously man, they coulda used TONS of other aplications that would show the same "advancements" they've made with already invented technologies. Sorry but it's pretty weak. |

Oh silly me I forgot the part about Nascar (which again sis not get a mention in the review), oh yeah and the karting which I actually found very frusttrating because I was not used to how they handled, I had to learn from my mistakes with them, and again I feel that is a great thing about this game. The cars all handle differently, its not like any other game where the cars are all pretty much the same except the look and the speed. Anyway I guess we could say I am a GT5 freak like you are a GT3 freak Justin...ok I think i'm really done this time lol. |

Not to mention the fact that you left out some things this game has PACKED into it: 3D - are you kdding me?? I wish to GOD I had a 3D TV for this game, it would be so awesome..don't you think you could have included ANYTHING about that in the review for the game? Seems to me you should have at least said that it either looks great or not...but we got nothing about it. All the speacial challenges which were challenging and fun at the same time as teaching you how to be a better racer and enjoy more cars. Photomode is so good it should have been in there twice lol. Sharing cars/ photos of your cars with all your friends, this is a cool feature I thought. Yes you can give/receive cars directly from each others Garages! It's neat. When you get a car it starts it up and sounds JUST like the car in real life...maybe not every -single- one, but hey I know alot of the ones I've gotten do, and I think that's cool, it shows what was put into this game..alot of people are on here saying where did the money, etc go? Well when you can climb into the EXACT replica of 200 cars' driver seats and listen to that cars engine guess what? Thats not cheap or quick to do...or easy to pack into ONE damn disc. Bah enough, Im sure no one will read this, but if you do Justin let me know what you think...I just feel you were looking for GT3 (part2) or something and failed to see all of this games' brilliance in the process. Sorry for double post but I ran out of room one first one lol |

Ok I have already commented on this game, but if you do read these coments reveiwer, and others who just want to know whether or not to buy this game, here are some more points of view from me on this game and this review: First I'll say that the reason I came back here and read all these coments again is because I wanted to see more people coming to the defense of this game because I love playing it and thought other would start to say they have as well. Which it looks to me, they have. First lets go through the reveiw. The Tuscan night race with the fireworks and your headlights causing the road signs to reflect back at you,the fireworks going off in the distance that makes you want to take your eyes off the road and just watch etc is absolutely awesome, there is nothing like this course at night that I have EVER seen in ANY racing game, giving 2 sentences to this kind of visual orgasim in your review is simply not enough Justin. And one of the sentences was "Awesome." The critisism on the AI drivers...they piss me off too, but you know what? It's a race and guess what else? They don't want you to pass them. Sorry but I find it hard to fault that, it adds challenge and fun to the races. Speaking on the non-scaling aspect with regaurds to the cars/competitors you face on races, there is a nice little button that shows you the common competitors' cars and BHP you will face for EACH and EVERY race Justin, use that to gauge who you will be facing and if you feel that youre too powerful or not powerful enough...dont enter the race until you are, or find one more suited to your car. So again it's hard for me to fault the designers and the game because I am entering races that I should not be when they provide you with that info. The licence tests are a great way to get a feel of different cars and help you to become a better driver, I feel they are well done, which you seemingly mostly agreed with. The load times, I have no problem with the load times, I understand that there are alot of load points and yes I agree that is a little annoying, but it does not detract from the game for me at all, and yes I did the install. For the online stuff, I'm sorry I did not try online yet, Im having fun with just the 1P aspect so I cannot comment on that, but Im sure it wasnt that great considering they almost immediately put out a notice of what was going on and updated the game to try and solve the problem. I do wish you could do a couple of more things in the quick options menu while in a race, but again it does not make me think any less of the game, I can actually see why you couldn't switch between Automatic transmission and Manula during a race in a simulator though...can't you? But the driving line I agree would be nice to turn off or on midrace. "Photo mode is photo mode - it's meant to look amazing" This is again very, very short on the details and what this mode deserves. This mode is absolutely AWESOME. What other game has anything that can compare to GT5 Justin? There are none that I can think of....not that there isn't but I certainly have never played one. The cars are placeable in so many locales, and areas then you can take absolutley stunning photos and show off your beautiful car, it really is amazing. Then you start the graphical problems, which I would actually say is the most accurate..almost the only accurate part of the review. The shadows at standstil are a little ridiculous, the trees..meh dont really bother me too much, same with the crowds..maybe because I play with full screen mode and so I'm enjoying flying around the tracks and feeling every little bump, dip and curve the road has to offer..it really is amazing the way it makes you feel you're driving a car..really fast. But back to the shadows..gotta say I NEVER once noticed them when I'm racing..also same with the smoke..all the tire smoke I've seen has been awesome, in replays I have seen a VERY slight dip in framerate sometimes, but really again barely noticeable. "The premium cars look gorgeous" This is about all you said about them..I'm sorry again you are lacking here. Did you mean the 200..that's TWO HUNDRED premium cars look gorgeous? Because you're absolutely right, they do and oh yeah there's two hundred of them. Sorry it's hard to gripe about something that no one else has done for me..maybe not for you though. Bspec mode- yeah I dont play this much, but what I have wasn't that fun even though it still looked amazing, but it's still there waiting for those people who DO like to play it. The damage on the cars thing. Ok I am level 16 and I have seen plenty of damage on my cars..not even premium ones too...I know it seems like I have unlocked more of that then when I first started, but hey I like that..I'm being rewarded with MORE content for playing the game longer..I'm sorry you have an issue with being rewarded for playing more..I don't, and maybe there are others like me as well. Im out of space,but whatuthink? 7? |

I wont comment too much on the reveiw, but I would say that being a reader I really felt that the reveiwer thought GT3 was the best racing sim ever, and it just seems that since his realization of what that game was to him 5 years ago isn't quite where he thought it would be, he was kinda harsh with the review, just my opinion and I'm not saying that its wrong of him, but it just seems there was some pre-conceived notions going in is all I'm saying. Which is usually not where you should be doing anything in an un-biased manner. I have the game, got it day one, I haven't played it as much as the reviewer yet, yes shocking we all don't get paid to play games all day right? But I can honestly say I am perfectly happy with this game. The scenery is still beautiful, the cars are even more so, even the standard ones. I love the driving simulation this game gives me, which is what this game is...a driving simulator. I have not tried the online portion of the game yet, but I guess I feel like why would I want to? Theres so many cars, so many ways to change/upgrade your car its awesome. Someone said something about not having Aero changes for the cars? Yes there is you can buy Aero kits, wings for the rear spoilers, and some cars can be completeley changed via the "race car modification". Check the GT auto section from your home screen, the place where you can go to get the oil changed, change wheels, car wash etc. I love the game and know that this will keep my driving bug happy for a LONG time, you look down on all the things packed into the game, I like the value I get out of it. If you guys have a PS3 and liked the GT, get this game. Regaurdless of how this reveiw reads, its worth it. |

@ Hank Hank you may be right, I really dont even know if that symbol is on there in of itself or not, hell Hank I dont even have an Xbox and never will because I feel M$ screws its customers and therefore I would never want to be involved with their product to begin with. I guess even if they have subverted a plus sign with added layers or w/e they are doing to create the swastika my simple point is: Its still possible to do no matter how you look at it right? It's basically the same as saying " Here is a creative tool that you guys can use to make whatever personal symbol you choose to identify yourselves with...have fun guys! Oh we forgot....not THAT symbol though! DAS IS FORBOTEN! You must make other symbols with this tool!" As I said it's hypocritical and that's what I really don't like. @Finder Keeper you may be right they may ban and remove the whole tool, that would be a mistake I think, but I don't think it's right to be able to control what people make with the tool they have supplied and the companies have allowed people the access to. If its like a shopping mall Finder, then the shopping mall has put out an advertisement saying, "HEY Everyone! Come paint ANYTHING you want on our walls!! It'll be sooo fun everyone! Come on! Anything you want to paint on our walls is just fine! Let everyone see your creative side!......Oh wait NOPE! Not THAT symbol though! Are you insane!? Why would you think you can draw THAT symbol!? Please exit the facility NOW! Thou art Banned!" If I have failed to illuminate the hypocracy here I am sorry, I've done the best I can think of. For the record I certainly am NOT saying that private property rights should be ignored or that they shouldn't be able to control what happens on their property, but I hope you are seeing my point that they have kind-of asked for it if you know what I mean...not that that means people should be able to just do whatever they want because they "asked for it" but I think you get my drift. It may be "public domain" but is it right to do what they've done? Thats my question..... |

Can't wait for this game, gunna be a blast to play for a long while I hope. I appreciate your vigor on the set up sir, but maybe a review should also be done with using the regular controller for a least a little bit? I would venture to say most people playing it won't have that set-up and it just seems to me that it may give you a slightly different expierence than using the regular controller....just think it over I guess, submitted for your review! |

@ ColinKapow You're right it is a more worldwide phenomenon than I was originally thinking of, that is a good point. You're also right about the idiots that will just change their symbols to a cock with some balls around it..probably with hair. I am not trying to say that the sysmbol is cool or OK to use, I sure as hell would not, I respect the greatest generation too much to do that, but what were they really fighting for when they fought? They fought for many things I suppose but I know that at least one of them was freedom. I also am not trying in any way shape or form to belittle what the nazis did, what one group of people was able to rise to power and the crimes they were able to commit on the world are terrible things and they should never be allowed to happen again. The united states dropped 2 atomic bombs on Japan during WW2, it killed HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE INSTANTLY, alot of them completely innocent citizens, even children. Should Japan put pressure on Microsoft to ban any user who uses the American flag as their symbol? You guys all mention how the swastika was so recently used by people who did horrible things...can someone please explain to me the difference here?? Please. For the record I am not saying the united states was terrible for doing what it did, but terrible things are terrible things are they not? @ HankVenture can you please tell me why Microsoft allows the game to be used on their system that they own all the rights to when they dont want people using a sysmbol that is supplied to them in, and will ban them for it? Basically, why doesn't Microsoft say they will not allow this game on their system Hank? If they think its so horrible they shouldnt allow it on the system because the game ALLOWS for that symbol to be used by the people playing it and THUS microsoft allows them to use it because as everyone keeps pointing out, they own all the rights for the system. They could easily say that they are not going to allow a game that allows people to use that symbol in it to be played on their system, could they not? Someone explain that one to me too please. I hate the hypocracy of it all. On one hand you have the entire gaming industry fighting in court against censorship, then you have Microsoft telling it's gamers (customers) what they CAN and CAN NOT use as a form of personal expression on a game THEY ALLOWED ON THEIR SYSTEM. This is not their place to make the decisions for banning someone for using something they have allowed into thier system. Think about it, if Microsoft REALLY had a fundamental problem with this like that blowhard fucktard liberal quoted in the article claims to, they would NOT ALLOW BLACK OPS SUPPORT ON THIER SYSTEM. But then what? They'd have millions of gamers (customers) who want to F'in play the game, so what do they do? They use censorship on you so they can still collect their paycheck AND "save face" for the publicity ads saying they ban people for use of swastikas in black ops....even though black ops HAS swastikas IN GAME. Ridiculous. As we can see from alot of the comments there are just as many people who dont give a shit either way about the swastika being used, yet they still think the people should be banned for it....why is that? Because people are programmed to go along with the majority so they do? I understand that its a useful evolutional device to help be more succesful as a species, but in this case it doesnt really matter does it? Anyways, I dont know why I bother writing these long things that probably will never be read by anyone, but man it really grinds my gears when I see crap like this. |

Just had to get that off first. @ NathanGR I know not everyone plays online games man, and I dont have any issue with your reveiw really so dont feel that I do, I just was trying to get my point across that I think the online portion of these CoD games and such is more heavily weighed as the true value of the games by most people who are playing them (as long as they play online of course). I was simply using a James Carville reference a la "it's the economy stupid" to convey that point, oh and no I do not subscribe to James Carville's political beliefs, but nonetheless he did have a good point in that case, but I digress. Reveiwer...this game is not about the single player, Im not saying they should not have to deliver us a great single player game, but I think its absolute retardation to think that that's what anyone who plays this game is going to care about in a week or less...its the multiplayer stupid! I dont see how this multiplayer could be any worse than MW2 so I think you will see people liking this game much more in the end, but time will tell of course. |
