This guy sounds like some idiot whos recently gotten rich off of casual gamers who play a game for 4 hours total then find something else to do, oh yeah and with a god complex stemming from the recent wealth. Hell the wealth will probably keep up, but it dont mean that people arent gunna jump on the NGP's capabilities like flies on....something. Same with the 3DS, people want complex large games, something apps are just not going to be able to pull off for a while at least.

I thought I had heard they are actually making profit on the PS3 system sales now? Maybe Im wrong but I do know they have sold enough software to make the PS3 profitable as a whole otherwise they wouldnt still be doing it.Also I dont feel like Ive been ripped off I can truley say that, I have a launch day fat 60gb PS3 (that I upgraded to 500gb) and have never had anything but fun using it..well there was that ONE day where the clocks were messed up lol but that's it. So I guess I am naive then by your definition, but so be it.

According to your argument that we should NOT favor some vendor or company over another, then you would say that if you go to two different car repair shops and one time one of them really screws you with shotty repairs, and overpriced products and the other gives you a fair deal and does good work you should continue to randomly choose which car shop you go to next time you need your car fixed?
I think most people would choose to go to the shop that treated them fairly, wouldn't you agree?
Do you even buy things? I mean that quite literally, do you buy things or do you still live at home with your parents who buy things for you and so you dont have to worry about things like that? Either way I'm sure they would know what Im talking about.

If they dont care then people will start to take their money elsewhere my freind and they will take the companies "profits" with them. What Im saying here is their profits are DIRECTLY driven by what people think of them dont you see? If the people dont like them, then the money goes with them. THAT my freind is the power of the free market, lets use it people! If this argument tires you , you should just lie down and take a nap and keep giving your money to a company you dont think treats you well. At least I can say I give my money to a company that I feel treats me better than a competitor.

I'm sorry I was so harsh with my language earlier really I went too far and for that I am sorry. I just felt like you were telling me what I should or should not say when I was not dealing with you to begin with. As far as my sarcasm goes in that first reply to Fetalspray if you look at his post you see thats how he was (sarcastically) describing Sony, so I used his sarcastic tactic as well but applied to a different company in my reply, thats all that is.

You dont think Sony is bringing new trends to gaming? really? Can you show some examples from microsofts platforms similar to original content coming from sony? IE. Heavy Rain, Little Big Planet, Flow, Flower, The last Gaurdian. How about the fact they include bluetooth capability in the console day one? Or Blu ray day one? or Wifi Day one?

I completely disagree. Sony seems to me to be the company that "gets it" they look for and develop all of the new trends and independent ideas for use in gaming. Look at Little Big Planet, The Last Guardian, etc. They push the envelope of gaming so their customers can enjoy more games period. Now do they look to make a profit and protect their property along the way? Yes, but I sure as hell don't blame them.

Microsoft seems to me to be the greedy "we dont give a flying fudge" about our customers company to me. They put out consistantly FAIL products and just know that their idiot fan base will keep buying them and getting them repaired. Oh yeah then they charge you to play on line...and for everything else under the sun they can think of. Then they bash a bunch of baby seals' heads in with a baseball bat with a rusty nail stuck in the end of it before they climb into their corporate jets and get whisked away to New york to drink $1000 a glass drinks and make fun of the homeless. Not very nice at all are they!?

The companies want the door shut, but the people don't. This affects us. Its a struggle to keep the door closed by the companies against the pirates behind the homebrewers on the other side of the door yelling to "just let us in, we're just homebrewers".
Basically I have to get this done here so I will try to just get in my main point here,
The homebrewing affects us because people will use its freedoms to do other more nefarious things that the companies dont like, so they have to fight it.
What ever happened to buying a game console and playing the games that come out for it? People say well now we can make our own games on this console and play them. That sounds fun I admit and its creative as well, I am not against the homebrewers, but I understand the companies position here. After all who was the one to put up the capital and resources to design, manufacture,market, and service these consoles? The homebrewer? I think not. If you want to make your own games maybe you should make your own console as well. Otherwise, dont get upset when actions are being taken by the companies to protect their investments.
