10 months ago Angry fans sinking Portal 2's Metacritic user score
I wonder how many of the people that gave a score of 0 for portal 2 also gave a score of 0 for Dragon Age 2? My guess is that there's a bit of an overlap. There is a major difference between a game that doesn't work and one that is short and has a bunch of DLC. Personally, though I don't tend to buy them, I think it's a good idea for companies to have non-necessary items like extra armor and weapons be sold for extra price. They aren't required to play the game and it will help them get the money that they lost due to pirating. If you don't want to pay the extra $10 for the Ultra Time Security Gun then don't buy it. Normally DLC end up becoming free eventually. Because it's not necessary DLC should not be considered in the rating of a game.

If the game is only 5 hours long I understand that can be annoying but if the game is good enough than that shouldn't really matter. Look at Tetris. Really the game, on average, only lasts about half an hour tops (unless you're extremely good at it) yet I guarantee that a lot of people would still give that game a 10 out of 10 (myself included). As long as a game has replay value then it doesn't really matter how long it is.

How do I decide whether a game is worth buying or not? I watch game play footage or play it at a friends house first. Does this mean I miss out on some great games? Absolutely. But the majority of games I have (with the exception of the Lost game and Star Ocean) I can play over and over again.

I can see a game company making a video game about these guys.

I have never run into a shiny pokemon (excluding the red gyarados) and I've played every single generation.

I have white version and got Sawk before I found Throh both of which I got while looking to battle Audrinos. Battling 1 Audrino basically levels up your pokemon 1 level at least if they are the same level while battling.

Raikou has always been my favourite beast legendary. I believe the reason is because Raikou was the first, and only, beast legendary I ran into in my first play though of Pokemon Silver. I was so excited that I ran into it as it was the first time I had ever seen any special pokemon (to this day I have still never run into a shiny pokemon) Of course, I had already used my Master ball on Lugia so I decided to just weaken it first and it ran away. I literally just stared at my game boy for the next 15 minutes wondering what happened and I never ran into him again no matter how hard I tried. I swore on that day that I would eventually capture Raikou without the aid of a master ball and I succeeded in the remakes by using a Wobbuffet and a Farfetch'd.

Yes terrorists look to video games to find out the best way to commit terrorist attacks. That's why, every other day, we see a guy walking down the street holding someone else head, people running through the streets with swords bigger than they are, people waiting in the forest to attack you with a chainsaw attached to a gun or someone running around in a suit of armor saying they have to eradicate the covenant.

Truthfully, I find more resemblance to books and movies in these terrorist attacks then video games. The first thing I thought of when I heard about the explosion at the airport was Star Wars Episode II. You know, When Senator Amedala's star ship.

Yes, I will admit that MAYBE a few terrorists have looked at video games and thought hey that's what we should do but they would be the same ones that would look at movies or books and decide that's what they would do.

While I personally believe that TOR should have been much higher on the list it did have a lot of tough competition so I'm grateful that it even made the top 30. Only 2% chance that the story will be as good as KOTOR? While I doubt that there will be as awesome an ending like in KOTOR, which I will not mention due to spoilers, but, I believe that the story in TOR has a 82% chance of being in league with KOTOR, 48% of being better than KOTOR and 5% being better than ME1

I always catch an abra and evolve it into a kadabra as soon as it's possible in the game (this generation will be a lot longer without an abra unfortunately). Another tradition is, with R/S/E and older I used the D-Pad when catching Pokemon. I start with up when the Pokeball hits the Pokemon, then down when the ball drops then left, right, left as the ball wiggles then a final down to capture it. For the DS games I use the Pokeball on the bottom screen same pattern mostly, I start at the left hand side of the ball, move to the top, move down to the centre, left, right, left and then click the centre button. It seems to work for me.
