@LawlingLobstaFTW I assume you're being sarcastic, so did you not notice the large "SPOILERS AHEAD" graphic with bold exclamation points at the very beginning of the article?
A whiny fanboy, me? That's a first! I think I explain well enough how the combat and co-op are entertaining enough to make it a solid, fun game, which deserves to be called "great," but that I didn't find it mind-blowingly compelling. lol lets flam war.
"Hmm. Being an Australian gamer, I would have rather you said the Australian Government is backwards, not Australia."
Hyperbole for comedic effect. ;) I also believe that the US is incredibly backwards in many areas. In fact, I think we're full of stupid over here. No offense intended.
Hm, well, I didn't notice any balance issues. I was playing at level one, with the people who made the game, and I still came in second on a couple matches. We will see when we get to play it more comprehensively, for the review (which I'm too much of a fanboy to write).
@Blackout1881: Sort of, but not really. Yes, the basic gameplay is the same - it should be, because it was already good. There are many new strategies and techniques which the additions make possible. Completely changing the gameplay would have been silly.
Ninja-KiLLR: "that was a very funny article. all are very good remarks. but if you were knifed in the back in the lung that would be a kill shot yur not recovering from"
You'd probably die, for sure, but you may have enough in you to turn around and fire a few rounds into your stabber. The amount of damage inflicted by a single stab wouldn't necessarily put you out immediately.
I looked it up too. And accidentally running off a cliff could happen to any animal. It could happen to you. It is not the same as walking directly off of a cliff for no reason.
I may as well, mostly to use as a Blu-Ray player. It's now about the same price as stand-alone players. Plus it looks a lot more like a PS2, which is a good thing, in my opinion.
Almost ready to start... some editors who decided to sleep in should shuffle through the doors soon. Machines being set up. Red Bull being drunk already. Remember to follow us on Twitter and all that!
As far as our gamertags/PSN details, I imagine we'll be using some of our super-official GamesRadar accounts. Details on how to join in will come in time, and we'll try to play with as many people as possible!
For anyone who missed the footage of our awesome designer Andrew doing the photoshoot for this ad, here it is on YouTube (the second part, because it contains the shoot... do watch the whole thing if you haven't seen it!). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlC32HbK-Zs
@mentalityljs I play PC games but a majority on my 360 because I don't have the money to constantly upgrade my PC to play the games I want. In fact I enjoy being able to pick from like 80 games to play without having to install em or worry about installing an antivirus/antimalware program. Therefore I don't mind paying 40 bucks for live when its a lot cheaper than a new video card, cpu, ram, more hard drive space and so on. I still love PCs but economically the 360 is great, especially with everyone's unanimous talk of not needing a new gen console quite yet.
Haha its late so I read Zack & Wiki Quest for Barbaros' Treasure as Zack and Mira Make A Porno haha. Yeah I'd cheat because I'd actually love to play Ratchet and Mario again but cheating is expensive. :P
As a wannabe level designer I giggled with glee reading this article. Gotta say that's a good list and I would agree with John 117, I'd add on a Starcraft map like Big Game Hunters. I don't know how many different versions of that one people made and I'll be damned it will not appear in SCII. I'd have to say Counterstrike was my college experience while Goldeneye was my high school experience.
you also forgot that, you know, GRIN opened about 4 other studios before these games failed to sell, causing a GREATER cash flow problem and helping to bankrupt them since there was really no need for those studious.
