A fair point. I was conscious of that when I was writing it actually. The thing is, until the direction of the Wii U is proven, Nintendo is a bit of an unknown. It has so far opted out of the current-gen console race and the business models that has entailed.
That said, the Wii has been a disaster for third parties, given how the marketing has been driven almost entirely towards first-party and casual games. I can see the Wii U most likely either going the same way or becoming the same sort of ecosystem as the current HD machines. It's true, it could come out with a whole new way or approaching game delivery on a console, but Nintendo's disastrous attempts at online stores so far (and seeming preference to pass the buck of online infrastructure responsibility to third-parties) doesn't have me holding out much hope.
Erm, that was kind of a joke given the whole vast woman/child difference (And the fact that Chloe would not be younger in the future). But seriously, if Chloe was about 12, she would look a bit like that.
I totally get the similarities between this and Blood Money's opening level. But the thing that worries me is that IO have now done two separate demos using two separate levels, 6 months apart, and both have had this kind of linearity.
Of course it doesn't affect everyone. But when it does kick in, it's bad enough that it's unjustifiable that this happens to ANYONE. This sort of thing is inexcusable in one of the biggest games of the year, and although it doesn't affect everyone, it happens more than enough to be note-worthy.
True, but the whole glassy structure is pretty much the same as the ones you find everywhere else, so I figured it was suitable to illustrate the point.
You're entirely correct on the Ventriloquist/Quakemaster point. Fixed.
And yeah, I've wondered about a completely split Batman in Gotham/Nightwing in Bludhaven campaign as well. In fact given how different Nightwing looks to be in the DLC, putting him in a completely different area with enough time and space to breathe for himself might be a great idea.
That's a good point actually. For some reason I hadn't put the two together. But yeah, that could well be the earthquake explained. I reckon it could well be a foreshadowing of a bigger disaster in Arkham 3 though. I'll make an amendment.
Yeah, I think we're definitely going to see a weary and defeated-feeling Batman as part of Arkham 3. He's hinted at his tiredness in Arkham City, and while I don't think we're going to get a Dark Knight Returns level of time jump, but I do think things are definitely going to take their toll on him.
If you're looking for an easy way to get into BF3, go Assault and concentrate on providing medical assistance for your squad. You'll learn the rope of working with a small team really quickly, and you'll level up FAST. Once you get the defib, you'll never look back. ]
Also, do not feel dirty for camping. In other FPS it might be cheap, but in Battlefield (as in real life) sniping is a perfectly legitimate tactical, and important part of supporting your team's overall victory bid.
Then I will.
