I think a good one would've been Fallout 3. Your character can die depending on the choice you make and if you don't have Broken Steel. I thought the Fallout 3 ending was epic.
Just had a conversation about gaming with my dad last night. He says, "I don't lie it when you play those games too much its not good for you." Me: "Well, dad, I have other interests than you did when you were a kid and its what people do these days. Plus gaming is a great social experience and its better for you than watching the same amount of TV." I just think sometimes parents are jealous they didn't have this stuff when they were kids.
I just finished this game and It is amazing. The ending is epic and I can't wait for ME2. I do admit the inventory system is pretty horrid. If they fixed that, it would probably get a 10 on GR. But for me it already is a 10.
I fucking hate the beggar lady in Assassin's Creed. She is so annoying and they always blow your cover so you have to escape the guards or kill them so more guards come to the scene.
Sly Cooper was easily one of the best games for PS2 or Jak II or III. And there is no way Gears of War was the best for 360, that game was horrible. But the PS2 choices were messed up. Seriously I bet Okami sold around 8 copies.
I think that GTA 4 did a great job with the saves. If you fail a mission or something once you get to your objective, you will often reset near the objective which is really nice. And I hate interactive "cinematics". I often put down my controller to watch then all of a sudden it wants me to push a button which catches me totally off guard.
Wow. WET? That looks insanely dumb. I feel bad for the people here at GR that need to play it and give it a rating. Although then they can bash it in a review.
My scariest moment was when I was playing with some friends on the No Mercy finale on Expert. We went up, and a Tank was up the hallway so I ran back to the safehouse while my teammates battled the Tank. Two of them dead, they said to me "Go, go help the last guy!" I go up only to find a flaming Tank pounding my teammate into the ground so then it starts chasing me. I run backwards and shoot at it with my auto shotty. I jump down the stairs and close the safehouse door. I say "Wow, that was freakin close." Then the Tank comes down the stairs, still on fire, and smashes the safehouse door down. I let out the loudest yell, almost pissing myself in disbelief and shock, my dead teammates laughing as I give my last effort to put it down. I did survive but ran up the stairs only to find a smoker waiting for me.
