Regenerators from RE4 should definitely be on this list. Not only do they take tons of damage and regrow their limbs, but after you've blown off their legs and feel like laughing at them for not being able to move, they slither MUCH faster than they were walking and jump at your neck. They also have a low, ragged breathing noise that if you don't hear early on they'll jump you. Jesus Christ I hate them.
Whoever says F-Zero isn't hard hasn't played it. Sure, the easy levels of difficultly are easy, but at standard and over (Master is fucking insane), you're going to be shitting bricks at how absurdly hard it is. The story mode is hardest of all, and it even has a hard mode, which, although beatable (my brother did after about a week of 30+tries each for 10 levels), is fucking ridiculous.
I'm disappointed that the Phantom Road: Slimline Slits course wasn't included in the videos, that was the goddamned hardest track I've ever played ever because it's just so easy to die. Also, it was trippy as shit with the rainbow track and nebulous background.
The author also was either not trying in the videos, or just wasn't very good.
Wipeout always felt slow and unresponsive to me after I experienced F-Zero X, and GX raises the bar considerably.

"Did anyone else read this and have Yahtzee's voice in their head."

And I thought I was the only one who did that.
I agree with Yahtzee and the guy complaining about darkness (eye strain is not fun), but not so much the others.
I'm pretty sure anytime I play Unreal Tournament my mom gets uncomfortable. Especially since I normally have the volume turned up so "DOUBLE KILL", "HEADSHOT", "KILLING SPREE" reverberate around the house. I turned off the cursing, though, so I think that's what saved me.
I think the solution to most of these problems, such as imperialism, raping the environment, and only seeing the outside of a being, is progressive education. Teach the people to love everything for what it is and maybe we won't be so goddamn angry all the time and nuke ourselves to oblivion.
A good article.
And no, the Nazis were not Marxist. Leon Trotsky was Marxist, and knew that communism/socialism could never truly exist without democracy. Hitler was a fascist through and through, where the government controls everything for the "greater good" and nationalism is taken to an extreme.
