My hope with GTA V is that they'll find a nice middle-ground so that they can tell a good story like GTA IV, and still have insane crazy fun like San Andreas. I feel they tried to do that a little bit in The Ballad of Gay Tony.
One complaint I'd like to add to your list (which sums up most of my problems with COD) is that they release so much DLC for a game that they're just going to make a sequel for in a year.
If you get into the expanded universe, then there's even more that seems impossible to make. It's about half a ton yet somehow allows Spartans to move fluidly and with grace. Also, there's nanotechnology in it that allows it to upgrade itself (which I'm pretty sure is what they're using to explain why the Master Chief's armor looks so different in Halo 4). If they went in-depth, it would probably be a fascinating read. But I'm pretty sure the end-answer would still be no. :P
You're obviously trolling, and quite badly if I might add. No one is stupid enough to misspell Xbox as "xobx" on two separate articles. It's a quite deliberate attempt to start a flame war, and it's pretty pathetic.
Glad to see Reach, Gears 3, and Skyrim on the list and Case West on the Arcade list. Honestly, I'm more surprised Gears 2 has a lot of players still more than Halo 3. I know a lot of Halo fans liked Halo 3 more than Reach, but I thought most people would be playing Gears 1 or 3.
They couldn't put content like RAAM's Shadow on the disk, though. And they started development on it after Gears 3 went Gold.
However, you are right about the Horde Command Pack, because most if not all of that is on the disk. Still, if you take that amount away from the total of the Season Pass, then you're paying the amount you would for the DLC. While it's not ideal, it's still better than some rip-off DLCs.
My point is, just because they offer a discount for future DLC doesn't mean that the content would be on the game in the first place.
