Great article but I would like to point out that I believe Geosynchronous mean 'In sync with the Earth's orbit' thus whatever it is you were talking about (sorry i forgot after reading the comments) would likely have stayed over the mentioned city. But I could be wrong. Regardless great article Mr. Wilde
uhm i know im going to sound like a nerd for this (or maybe not seeing as everyone here had to click on this article and willingly read it) but Celebi is also available in the first forest in the Silver and Gold versions of the GBC (YEAH WAY BACK!!!) but anyway I believe you have to beat the Elite4 and then move ggo back and search throught that forest in order to get him. After that you'll have to keep trading him up the different versions of Pokemon until he gets to your desired verion, hope that helped anyone trying to collect em all, lol... now my head hurts.
oh and also a great article it brought back memories of when i used to be a pokemon finatic.
lol these are funny and me and my lil bros have probably done most of them between us.
Also regarding the Snake picture, he has a full beard because it's an old pic from when kojima was still trying to get down Old Snake's looks, I think, I remember seeing it when I used to drool over the PS3s release =)
Anyway I didn't actually now what to expect from this game, at first i was like meh, then I saw the trailers and thought hmm, but now I see the lack of co-op and I'm thinking oooh =(
but owell nice review and I'm glad it got a good score.
These were hilarious, especially the Sonic and Mario ones lol. Also if your looking for a game FULL of easter eggs try MGS4, like when your fighting the Beauties/Beasts in there bare female form and you look at them through the camera they pose like models.
here's a link to show any that care:

Ironically i just got my copy of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 today and I just wanted to point out the whole R1 Recenter ability is remnisent of that game. Also I was wonderin if their might be same screen co-op?
I just ordered this now... some 2 or 3 years after release and I'm not sure why it just strikes me as a cool looking game, that and NGS2 is coming pretty soon.
I would like to start off my comment stating that there is DEFINETLY a chance of this working, pros and cons are there but overall this idea looks amazing.
My big thought is that with the PS3 you could just have the motion controls for upper body movement and then use the presumably standard analog sticks for lower body. It's that simple to me. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, the Microsoft will most likely realize they need triggers, buttons, and analogue sticks and will do just what Sony did... ADD STICK LIKE CONTROLLERS.
That's what I think anyway.
BTW I still did like this article regardless of my opinion.
Man you 360 guys are lucky for tha MGS:R release (I got a PS3 btw). And hey this isn't fanboy hate or nothing you guys really showed out this year with MGS:R, Alan Wake(didn't see that coming) and that Project Natal. More Power to you!!!
@walrus, the games industry isnt suffering from new ideas, the problem is money, and as long as companies can get away with another sequel adding the bare minimum each time then they will keep doing it, to them the customers opinion is nothing as long as there still selling games and making money
if gta 5 means another game as boring as 4 was then id rather just have the series end, it may have been detailed and more releastic but taking out all the fun makes it all pointless.
Good to see war of the monsters getting a mention that game was awesome and so much fun, pity there wasnt a warzone 2100 mention though, on todays consoles/pc they could probably get away with just redoing the graphics and re-releasing imo.
Good article but all i can say is why isnt Level 5 on that list from what i've played of their games and heard from the others theyve all been top notch.
i agree with pocotron wheres the chimera, just like with the locusts we still dont really no anything about them after 2 games, and theyve managed to take most of the world over, especially all/most of europe within a few weeks
yeah with all that put together it would make for a huge change in the genre as long as its done properlly, so far really the only game that does something similar really i guess would be the dynasty warriors games not the best example i know, but it does kinda work in a similar stlye just much smaller, and you dont even have to bother with the tasks u get given you can just go for the win straight away which defeats the purpose. but by doing some of the smaller tasks it does make the game easier,

the fps does need quite a lot of changing for objectives etc. but tbh unless im just having a slow day i cant really think of many ways to really change it up, the only thing i can think of really, would be like being part of an actual whole army in a war where no matter what your doing everything involved and around you is constantly going, like attacks and other battles in other areas on the map, so basically having a constantly active and changing battlefield much like in reals wars, if that makes any sense to anyone.
