Love this article! Can totally agree. It's not just the difficulty, it's when cheap tricks are used to exten the difficulty. Like in Freedom figters, I'd rather play on normal simply because i get annoyed that i can use a sniper rifle on the head of larger enemies and it takes two shots. WTF? They're human and they have no helmet! At the end of the day, I want a challenge, but at the same time I still want to enjoy the game. If the gameplay outdoes the difficulty I'm willing to tone it down. Prototype was a good case. That had horrendous difficulty spikes in certain places which was annoying because I really preffered it in hard mode, so i turn it down to normal. But then I don't play Zelda for it's immense difficulty... but then would still like it to be harder

Some of the reactions to Eric as an individual here are... pretty terrible. Telling him to smart up and dress to make him feel uncomfortable is just forced ostracization. He is who is and has found a group wherein he feels comfortable being himself. Talking about impressing peers and it all being about the music is a pretty narrow minded way of looking at any sociological group.

Weird thing \bout when i faced Dark Link a second time was, i did th dungeons out of synch. I got what i needed from half completed dungeons to open the next one and just went and completed it in whatever order i liked. By time I faced Dark link all i did was literally thrustattack every single time and he ran into my sword! i have no idea if the two incidents are causal or correlative, but was a pretty anticlimactic fight either way! I struggled with him like hell thefirst time I played, it was the only time I struggled in a fight in the game!

I gotta add my retro throwback addition of Evil Adam from Body Harvest. The guy was a constant pain in the ass, and I only ever completed that game and defeated the bastard because of a glitch where I could shoot his mutated form from safety where he wouldn't attack me!
